Nice Compilation, December 18, 2011

I really enjoy this CD. I am fairly new to Chris Whitley's work, and did not realize initially that this was a compilation of songs from prior releases. I knew he was very respected as a musician's musician but had not heard much of his music. The songs come from: "Big Sky Country", "Living with the Law", and "Poison Girl" are from Living with the Law (1991)..."Narcotic Prayer", "Never", and "New Machine" are on Din of Ecstasy (1995)..."Automatic", "Weightless", and "Alien" are on Terra Incognita (1997)... and "Pint of Lotion (demo)" is on Long Way Around - An Anthology: 1991-2001 (2002). As a result, you get a nice variety of different sounds from Chris. A very talented artist who left us way too early. This CD is worth having!!
