I purchased this gun rack for my husband because he did not want the typical type of gun rack that would cover the back window and not allow our dog (and hunting companion) free access to the truck bed. Before I purchased this rack we had to keep our guns in the cases, squeezed between the seats to keep them safe. When we had other people ride with us, the situation was even worse. We discussed the need for an overhead gun rack but neither one of us had ever heard of one. We decided if we couldn't find one, we would have to make one of our own. I was searching for hunting products and gun racks before his birthday and stumbled upon the Big Sky overhead racks. I was really hoping it would work as well as advertised and after researching a few other similar products, I ordered the Big Sky 2 gun overhead rack. When he opened the box, he was surprised, excited and then a little doubtful that it would work, considering how simple the design was and how easy it was to install....how happy we were to find those worries unnecessary! The Big Sky rack is incredible! It keeps our guns safely out of the way but always in reach. Friends can ride in the truck with us without any problems and the dog is free to roam from the cab to the bed at will. It takes up very little head space and keeps the guns safe, clean and secure. We are all very happy and recommend it to all of our friends!

I have found this works just fine for me in my truck. I am glad I found this and decided to give it a try.
