Yummmmmm!,
By JON2BAD (THE HILLS OF CO) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Big Step (Audio CD)
Though ska, Ruder Than You takes differn't paths in makeing their own version of two tone music. Blending rock, funk, and regge, thier ska is an up tempo, skank'n party cd that dosn't repeat it's self with the same beat over and over. By far the best jam is "Get Some Peace", a great mix of grove and power, oh but they are all tastey treats!! Of all of MOON RECORDS discs this is the most solid one. Grab it and find out today!

For some reason, Ruder Than You never gained the same popularity of other contemporaries such as The Slackers or The Pietasters even though they've toured and opened for The Skatalites, Bad Manners, and even Desmond Dekker. "Big Step" is one of their strongest releases, and should definitely be part of any ska fan's collection. [...]
