4.0 out of 5 stars Over the Moon
I purchased these for my [...] year old daughter for Christmas. I was a little worried because of all of the negative reviews I had read. But you know how it is when Santa is supposed to bring something! The assembly couldn't have been easier. 3.0 out of 5 stars Moon Shoes NOT for Hyper-active Kids
Lots of fun, but Moon Shoes can be potentially dangerous for hyperactive kids who have difficulty restraining themselves and "playing safe." I suggest only using them on grass or a rug. Kids can still bounce high, but will land safely should they fall. Also, make sure they are securely fastened to kids feet (we use them with shoes). If not securely fastening, ankles may...

I purchased these for my [...] year old daughter for Christmas. I was a little worried because of all of the negative reviews I had read. But you know how it is when Santa is supposed to bring something! The assembly couldn't have been easier. You do have to have some hand strength to stretch the bands in the proper way, but it was not difficult. The minute she put them on she was able to balance and jump. She is not the most coordinated little one, so I was worried. She wears pads and a helmet sometimes, depending on what the surface is, but has fallen without them and it's been fine. Overall I would reccommend these. Great fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Big Hit!!, April 1, 2007
We purchased these for our 7 year old daughter at Christmas. She LOVES them!! She has had so much fun playing on them and getting lots of great exercise. She has fallen a few times, but we stay on the grass so she hasn't been hurt. I definitely recommend the moon shoes for hours of heart healthy fun!

2.0 out of 5 stars Careful With Smaller Children!!, December 29, 2008

We purchased Moon Shoes for our 7 year old son for Christmas. He put them on fine and did have to watch his balance and seemed to enjoy "walking" around the yard in them, but then he fell over and his ankles bent sideways. We would not recommend this product for smaller children, their ankles aren't strong enough. Also, they can't get enough "bounce" going because their legs aren't strong enough, so the pictures don't really tell the whole story. We are returning ours for credit.

4.0 out of 5 stars Moon Shoes were a Christmas hit!, January 11, 2007
My daughter SCREAMED when she opened these at Christmas! They are great exercise both indoors(carpet only) and out. The only hard thing is assembling them. Parents definitely have to do that - but just once, and the fun begins!

4.0 out of 5 stars Moon Shoes - Fun Toy, July 3, 2007
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
I just purchased this toy for my daughter. She has worn the shoes on several occasions and enoys it quite a bit. It's easy to use and assemble and seems to be fun. She did express some disappointment at not being able to jump as high as the girl on the front of the box. As close to anti-gravity as she's going to get for now anyway!

I bought these for my granddaughter who is 10 she is very athletic, strong. The problem according to her is it is easy to fall to the side and maybe sprane an ankle. I notice she is not playing with these as much as I had anticipated.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun toy with a but..., March 22, 2008
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
Have hade these for 4 months. Down to my last replacement rubber band. Yes they are a bit hard to get on the moon shoe, but it's worth it for my son having a good time. Wish I could find where to get the replacement blacks bands.
My son really enjoys them. Just uses them in the house on the carpet.

If your kids are stuck inside, let them bounce off some energy
Just be ready for some injuries
They should wear helmet, elbow pads and knee pads
Lots of fun
Wish I had these when I was a kid

My daughter got a pair of these for Christmas last year (she was 8) and they've mostly been in the closet. I think the main reason she wears them at all is that it makes her a little taller. They actually seem quite dangerous in most places, because the shoes are very big compared to the feet that go into them, and it's like walking around with big boxes on your feet. Getting around is slow and cumbersome. The bouncing action isn't so great either, and when she does try to jump up and down in them (while trying to stay balanced and land properly with her feet attached to big boxes) she only makes it about 6 inches off the ground, if that. A trampoline is much more fun.
