What can I say about Junior Ried but he has gone back to his rootz with this album. This is without a doubt his best album to date. I never really enjoyed his music except for One Blood and Married Life on his One Blood Album. Earlier he tried that Dancehall,Ragga style of beat and it didnt really work for him. Now that he started to slow it down and go to the rootz side of Reggae he is "Blowing Up". All his lyrics on this album are "Just A Reality" and that is what is makin his music so sweet these days. If you like Junior Reid's music or just the sweet sounds of Rootz Reggae you need to throw down the duckets for this cd. And trust me you will have no regrets when you listen to this cd just the sweet sounds of Reggae Muzic. Peace...

Old Time Something Come Again...,

This is reggae roots. Junior Reid explodes on this CD with tracks reminicent of reggae from its "hay day" era. This music is good old fashion R&B Jamaican style and Junior Reid busts on the scene with great vocals, live band backup and some ballards you'll love to listen to over and over again.
I love every track, but my personal favorites are "Old time something", "Big timer", "Fisherman Row" and "Think I'm such a fool". If you've got a good stereo system or even a good portable music player, pump up the bass on this one. It's a bonafide Reggae Classic by all standards. |
