I purchased this kart for my 9 year old son. My neighbor bought one for his 11 year old son. They have been riding them now for a couple of weeks without problems. They were about the only thing we could find that we could just let them ride around in front of the house without worrying about noise or them going too fast. They are also perfect size for the kid who doesn't fit on a Razor go kart but doesn't have anywhere to ride a gas powered go kart. With my son, I would guess the kart doesn't quite go 15 mph but he hasn't complained a bit (except the neighbors is a little faster - even though he is bigger). The run time is about 45 minutes.

Mine did arrive with a slightly bent post on the motor and the chain was jammed. It still runs but it does shake slightly. I am waiting on a new motor to come from the manufacturer. I am pretty sure that I was sent a refurbished one as it didn't have plastic coating on the solar panel like the neighbors did.

Despite this, it appears to be a well built go kart and easy fun for the kids.

the instructions are terrible for putting it together. The print is not clear at all even ridiculous there is two items to put on the seat and the solar panel , almost impossible to align them the access with the tools provided took me an hour and a half for 7 screws , very hard to reach the bolts . My 9 year old daughter enjoy the ride it's slow up hills and every few minutes it's stop driving and have to be turn off and on again . The kart itself looks very nice and built well . SELLER PAY ATTENTION TO COMMENTS YOU CAN MAKE IT MUCH EASIER FOR US .the battery is very weak can hardly go on a small hill the machine itself very heavy.buy only if you have a flat area out of your garage

First of all, the instructions are terrible for putting it together. The print looked like a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy. . . . of a copy. The instructions assumed some items were preassembled when they were not so I had to guess, but with the help of my Dad and brother we guessed successfully. I read another review before I purchased saying the chain keeps coming off. Well that is true cause it did. Silly me for thinking that mine would be different. However, while the other guy couldn't fix his chain I was able to. The motor sprocket is not aligned directly with the wheel sprocket which cause the chain to come off. I used extra washers that were sent with the Kart to elevate the leading edge of the engine sprocket thereby creating the appropriate alignment. This was difficult and get some washers from a store cause the extra ones were tough to work with. But, at 3AM Christmas morning we got it done after 2+ hours of what should have been a 30 minute or less assembly. Putting the seat on was more difficult because of screw placement.
The younger child (10) enjoyed it. It was easy to operate once he got the hang of the throttle. A pedal would work better. Does not go 12 MPH that I can tell. The older kid (12) thought it was to slow. Also, they have to drive it in the street. We live on a culdesac so no traffic. While the tires are rubber and sturdy, the motor isn't sufficient to make it up the hills in the yard. If your yard is flat you may have better luck. I would get it for a younger child 6-8 if you are mechanically inclined and decide to purchase this Kart. It doesn't seem to go real fast and it would be more exciting to the younger kid.
