5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely the best chai tea I've found
After discovering chai tea a few years ago, I have since been hooked. I have tried several coffee shop versions as well as a couple store bought varieties as well and can easily say this is my favorite chai tea. The taste reminds me of that of a cinnamon roll with a very rich, smooth flavor. Most other chai teas taste more like gingerbread to me, which while enjoyable,...

2.0 out of 5 stars Delicious, but NOT Caffeine-Free!
Yes, this is delicious vanilla chai...the best I've tasted. However, the product description says "99% caffeine-free" and this simply can't be true. I ordered the single-serving packets of this product and the package clearly states the caffeine amount. Each serving actually contains 65mg of caffeine per serving. That's almost as much caffeine as a tall Starbucks espresso-based drink. Almost twice the amount of caffeine in a can of Coke!

If you need the caffeine boost, enjoy! But if you're watching your caffeine intake for whatever reason, be aware!

I have tried several coffee shop versions as well as a couple store bought varieties as well and can easily say this is my favorite chai tea. The taste reminds me of that of a cinnamon roll with a very rich, smooth flavor. Most other chai teas taste more like gingerbread to me, which while enjoyable, not my "cup of tea". ;) My only minor complaint would be that I usually end up with small amount of pulp in the last sip. I'm not sure if this is due to the water not being hot enough but it's not enough to keep me from loving this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Chai, May 2, 2007

This is the same mix that my local coffee house uses in their latte's. It's full of flavor and worth the price. The only other Chai mix that is better is Tastefully Simple's Oh My! Chai mix which is awesome!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best vanilla chai...., November 27, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've been trying different brands of chai for a while. My favorite been the Border's Cafe chai. However, since Border's Cafe was phased out in favor of Seattle's Best Coffee I was back to square one. Actually, this chai is so similar to the one sold at Border's Cafe, that I am pretty sure they were their supplier. My search is over, I've found my chai !

This is delicious chai, one of the best you can buy to make at home. I always make it with milk, not water, and I use a Mr. Coffee Cocomotion ($20-$30)to heat and froth it up perfectly. It is NOT a low sugar product, but I didn't expect it to be.

It's such a delicious treat! But don't put as much powder as the directions tell you to. You should use only about 1/2 of what's instructed or it's way to sweetand strong. It also won't desolve completely. But it really is wonderful once you get the correct measurements for your own taste!

I first tried this chai tea at a beach coffee shop while on vacation. It was so good that I made my family go back to that location the next morning so I could find out what brand it was. Big Train!!! Now I'm hooked.

I bought this based on my liking chai tea and the other reviews. Although it is not caffeine free, (I am not sure why amazon has it listed as 99% caffeine free, because it says it contains 65mg per 8oz serving right on the can) it is very good and on a cold morning, it is great to sit and sip. Just boil some water and add a scoop to your cup, it is rich and satisfying! I offer this to all my guests and get great response! I have tried other brands and this is one of the best.

I have made Iced Chai Lattes with this mix for about five people now and they all LOVE it. There are instructions on the side of the container that tell you how to do it. It's very simple. My only suggestions is this: When it says to use 1 and 1/3 cups of powder, only use 1 cup. It can be too sweet if you use the amounts they tell you to use.
