This is a terrific collection--starts with a few well-known tunes by famous surfer-types like Beach Boys, Dick Dale, Duane Eddy and the Ventures, but quickly moves into an incredible array of lesser-known one-hit wonders, all of which are just fabulous, like The Astronauts, Laika & The Cosmonauts, Jordan Ingmann, the Chantays, the Vanduras, etc et al. Of course, it helps if you like this kind of music. If you do, this is a great collection--I bought it at Starbucks after taking one look at the track list.

Excellent collect of classic Guitar Instrumental Surf! CD includes liner notes for each track with lots of trivia and back ground info on the Artists and sometimes includes what inspired the writing of the music!

Took a little longer than expected, but maybe I'm just used to faster senders. Good clean product like new as specified. Chowda chowda chowda. Thumbs up.

I never get tired of listening to this CD. My favorite time is driving around with the top down, with "Big Waves" turned up loud. This is a stellar collection of classic surf songs, with some new ones at the end. "NY '79", by Laika and the Cosmonauts is one of the new ones, and it is brilliant. Read the track list and if you know surf, you'll see what a great collection it is. If you don't know surf, this is a great introduction. Listen to the amazing guitar work, and then ask yourself, "What is surf, anyway? What makes a song a surf song?". I still haven't figured it out, but I love this CD.
