This review is from: The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle Blowers, and the Cover-up (Paperback)
I never bought the weapons-of-mass-destruction-so-let's-invade-Iraq story, and I never saw a connection between 9/11 and Iraq. Obviously, according to the media and all the brainpower in Washington, I must have missed something. On the other hand, with the US body count close to 2,000, Iraq on the brink of civil war, and no WMD anywhere, perhaps I didn't.

The destruction of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre on 9/11 was a horrible, evil thing. I watched it--along with millions of other people--and wondered how could human beings do such a thing. Afterwards, I asked the question that occurred to everyone--how on earth did these people--these terrorists--slip by all the intelligence networks? If you had asked me then if I thought that this was an event that was ALLOWED to happen--I would have yawned and walked away--silently thinking that I was in the presence of one of the 'nut-fringe.' Well here it is four years later, and I've just finished reading "The Big Wedding: 9/11, The Whistleblowers, & The Cover-Up" by Sander Hicks. I read this book for 2 reasons: 1) I watched the excellent documentary "Horns and Halos", and found the kamikaze methods of publisher/journalist Hicks courageous, unusual and intriguing, and 2) I have some serious doubts about the event known as 9/11.

Given the nature, the scope and the audacity of the World Trade Center attack, it would be surprising if there were NO rumours circulating about an upcoming attack prior to 9/11. Hicks proves that not only were there rumours galore, but they were ignored and quite deliberately and calculatingly squashed.

In "The Big Wedding: 9/11, The Whistleblowers, & The Cover-up", Sander Hicks assembles a rogue's gallery of fringe-dwellers. There's Randy Glass (who appeared on Dateline)--a con man turned FBI/ATF informant. Glass claims that while working undercover on "Operation Diamondback" Pakistani arms dealer Rajaa Gulum Abbas bragged that the World Trade Center towers "are coming down." Glass forwarded warnings about the 9/11 attack to Senator Bob Graham, Head of Senate Foreign Intelligence. In an interview with Kathleen Walters from WPTV/NBC Graham admitted receiving information in July 01 about an attack on the World Trade Center from Glass.

Then there's Pakistani General Mahmood Ahmad who wired $100,000 to Mohamed Atta on September 10, 2001. Here's a juicy coincidence ... on September 11, Senator Graham and General Ahmad were in a joint meeting in New York as the Towers fell. And here's another coincidence pointed out by Hicks: "over 100 Mossad agents" were following Mohamed Atta and Marwan Al-Shehhi around the world until ... August 2001 when they were "quietly ejected from the country." What a coincidence and how very convenient.

Hicks convincingly continues to explore the "strange anomalies that surround 9/11" and reveals a constellation of warnings--including the names of FBI agents who "warned the White House that a specific attack was imminent." Hicks addresses the U.S military training of several of the hijackers, and the shady flight training company where the hijackers received their lessons. Hicks also interviews Delmart Vreeland--a pedophile/con man who achieved meteorite progress in the Navy and then disappeared off the radar. Vreeland claims he was an assassin, and his background certainly merits interest. Dismissed as a nutter, Vreeland penned a cryptic note about the 9/11 attack before it happened.

Hicks includes nice, tidy background info on the Taliban, Al-Qaeda and The Muslim Brotherhood. In addition there are references to several nasty bits of dirt--including The Monarch Programme and the BCCI (Bank of Credit and Commerce International). There's also a thorough index, and scrupulous footnotes (always appreciated by this reader). In "The Big Wedding: 9/11, The Whistleblowers, & The Cover-Up", Hicks shows that he's done his homework, and to say his evidence is disturbing is an understatement. Is there such a thing as coincidence, or is coincidence a series of events linked by unrevealed connections? Perhaps some of the evidence here can be reasoned and argued away, but can it all be dismissed? Read the book and decide for yourself--displacedhuman

5.0 out of 5 stars THE book to own on 9/11., September 29, 2005
This review is from: The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle Blowers, and the Cover-up (Paperback)
I could write a ridiculously long about how good this book is, but I literally stayed up all night last night reading this thing and I'm pretty damn exhausted. I thought I would read a chapter to get a feel for it and then come back to it later. No way.

Sander Hicks gets the intel straight from people that were intimately involved in government operations leading up to 9/11 and KNEW what was going to happen and alerted the U.S. government in plenty of time to thwart the attacks. We know what happened next.

Hicks makes a complex web of government intrigue easy to understand. Governments and their intelligence agencies are constantly playing a high-stakes chess game and when they make the wrong move, or more accurately, get too greedy for their own good, a bunch of innocent people get killed and almost every time, the ones responsible get promoted and rewarded instead of the prison sentences they deserve.

Most books that investigate 9/11 have good info, but are boring as hell to read. I can say that with some authority because I have read ALL of them. Hicks' style is like no other. This book was actually exciting to read and there are details here that no other book on the subject can touch.

Make no mistake America- rogue elements of this government, which unfortunately reach all the way to the top and in numbers much larger than you would imagine, knew exactly when, where and how these attacks were going to go down and MADE SURE that they did. With the mainstream media that they practically control as an accomplice, an official myth was created and now it's too late for them to change their story. The good FBI agents that came forward and blew the whistle about how they were kept from stopping the attacks by their superiors have been completley shut out. The media is now along for the ride even if it ends up destroying us all, which it will if we don't act now.

The U.S. government, which has been completely corrupt for many decades, along with their corporate controllers have created a monster in the Middle East that they can no longer control, yet they will position themselves to exploit the havoc they wreak if it can advance their agenda.

The attacks gave Cheney's gang of homicidal maniacs of the "Project for the New American Century" the "new Pearl Harbor" they said they needed to begin the perpetual war that they were lusting after for 25 years. Go to their website and try to digest the insanity of the "Rebuilding America's Defenses" document that they published in September of 2000. The arrogant SOB's still have the nerve to leave it up on their website at:

http://www.newamericancentury.org/publicationsreports.htm

The "new Pear Harbor" is mentioned on page 51. The NeoCon's make it clear that they intend to dominate the planet, supposedly to make it a better, safer place. Of course, they leave out the fact that they're going to get filthy rich while attempting to do so.

Hicks touches upon the 9/11 Truth Movement, an underground movement of millions which I am proud to be a member of. We're not conspiracy theorists, just modern-day Paul Reveres yelling out to our fellow citizens that the enemy isn't on the way, they're already here and not just inside the gates but in full control. He makes a point who's time has come- The infighting over which exact scenario took place on 9/11 must stop. By the time we agree on every single specific detail of 9/11, there won't be anything left of this country and for that matter, the world, left to save.

I'm going to wrap this up, but there are massive amounts of info here that blew me away and I thought I knew everything. If you want to know who and what caused 9/11 to happen, and also how the pathetic joke of a puppet show known as "The 9/11 Commission" helped cover it up, get the book. If you want to know how the bureaucrats in charge of paying the victim's families tried to strong-arm them into taking the payoff (because once you take the money, you have to keep your mouth shut), get the book. Many of the widows didn't take the bribe and they're out there screaming it was an inside job and not a single mainstream news network wants to hear them. Hmm, I thought the "liberal mainstream media" jumped at every chance to make the Bush administration look bad. Yeah, keep believing that.

Get the book and educate others. Great work Sander. Keep it up.

Looks like my review ended up being ridiculously long after all. What can I say? This book is that good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Some Links from Sander, the Author, September 21, 2005
This review is from: The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle Blowers, and the Cover-up (Paperback)

Hi Folks!

To get "inside the book" take a look at Chapter 9, on:

http://www.sanderhicks.com/chapter9.html

This is a key chapter on the confluence of racism, the Far Right, the Bush White House and international terror. What I am doing in this book is the writing of history, not opinion, not speculation.

Also, Lit Kicks has published a review, here's the link and first paragraph:

There are muckrakers out there, journalists who prod and poke and grope their way to the truth. And then there are a rare few who just break stuff. Sander Hicks, publisher of Vox Pop Books, is one of the most dynamic political troublemakers on the scene. Once he starts gnawing on a case -- whether it has to do with George Bush's sordid past or the relationships between the US government and foreign terrorist groups leading to 9-11 -- you know he's going to keep biting until something snaps, and something is revealed....

5.0 out of 5 stars Fifteen Distinct Instances of FACT--a Major Contribution, April 14, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle Blowers, and the Cover-up (Paperback)
This is one of a number of 9-11 truth movement books that I have reviewed. The bottom line is clear and supported by other books: the U.S. Government had fore-knowledge of 9-11; the FBI and the CIA are a combination of inept and corrupt; and the 9-11 Commission was a deliberate cover-up.

Two of the facts the author cites, while brought out by others, have a special cachet in this particular book:

1) John Ashcroft stopped flying commercial in June 2001; and

2) The 9-11 Fund for victims was managed by a quasi-compromised individual whose task was to get them all (at least 90%) to sign up, because the acceptance of compensation came with a quit claim against the US Government and any further legal action, a compelling indicator, in my mind, of guilt by implication.

Here are a few things that stayed with me from this author's worthy effort:

1) Summary of what we lost on 9-11 from Dr. Hecht: "3000 New Yorkers, half the Constitution, and most of the Republic."

2) Key people like Dave Frasca at FBI that blocked all efforts to stymie the 9-11 attacks, and Francis Taylor at Department of State, director of security (with Ambassadorial rank) and party to special deals with Pakistan, were never forced to testify in detail.

3) 9-11 Commission deliberately started its review in 1996 to leave out the 1993 World Trade Center bombing where evidence exists that the FBI built the bomb and it was all part of an operation that went bad.

4) Both the 9-11 Commission and other reviews have failed to go back to the BCCI Bank scandal, where the BCCI was a joint Pakistani-CIA bank to channel funds to Afghanistan (and not incidentally, to jihad terrorists in the making)

5) The BCCI was the bank that bought George Bush II's stock in Harkin when he was a failure and needed help.

6) Sixteen (16) reporters and investigators died under mysterious circumstances while investigating the BCCI story.

7) Mueller may have been rewarded with FBI Director post for his role in blocking BCCI investigation.

8) 9-11 may have originally been planned as a nuclear attack under the direction of the Pakistani nuclear genius now allegedly under house arrest, and "downgraded" to the WTC [note: there are numerous allegations that all the gold and other valuables in the WTC were evacuated in advance, and the most important allies of the Administration were not in the building that morning--it was, in other words, expendable, and also valuable as pretext for war (Jim Bamford's term, see my review of that book). NOTE: The author suggests that the Pakistani's not only made the point to the Bush Administration that an attack would be good for the Administration, while relieving some pressures in Pakistan, but also negotiated the down-grade, receiving in turn further assistance toward their nuclear arms race with India. Lest anyone doubt this, please note that Zbigniew Brezinski specifically gave the Pakistanis a nuclear bye in return for help against the Soviet in Afghanistan. Regardless of the party in party, the political leadership in America is clearly willing to sell its soul and sacrifice American lives for what it perceives to be strategic gains for its own selfish elite).

9) Israel and Egypt warned the US in strong terms, as did Germany and Russian, within weeks prior to the actual attacks. The US Government chose not to act on those warnings, perhaps because it wanted the attacks to succeed.

10) Al Qaeda and the Neo-Conservatives actually share some viewpoints and have a symbiotic relationship.

11) The Muslim Brotherhood is close to the CIA, and goes back many decades with the neo-Nazis. as both share an abiding hatred for the Jews and Israel (this suggests that the many stories about US skin-heads supporting Al Qaeda terrorists are plausible).

12) Homeland Security Secretary Chertoff is dirty as sin. He defended terrorist financier Dr. Magby Elamir, is a "dishonest bastard" who went along with Vince Foster suicide cover-up, and was fast-tracked to the top and via the judge's circuit as part of the overall deal between those who sin and those who condone.

13) Governor Jeb Bush PERSONALLY showed up to confiscate flight school records in Florida days after 9-11, and then took action to make them forever irretrievable.

14) Florida is called by some in the know as "Terrorland" where two Floridas co-exist--a normal Florida (that is to say, the walled city/golf courses with water features of the well to do, and the slums of the poor), and a second Florida consisting of CIA training camps, banks approved by the Government to launder drug money for Wall Street, and flight schools and airports for discreet arms-drugs-money transfers--and even Miami International Airport, where world-class assholes can be "pre-cleared" for entry to the US "at the convenience of the U.S. Government." Indeed, the connection between Florida, drugs, and the U.S. Government is so strong that in one uncoordinated inter-agency assault on an arriving Lear Jet loaded with drugs, DEA senior executive Mike Brasseltine was in the co-pilot's seat. [Ugly side note: Henry Kissinger is on record as supporting Third World eugenics or "depopulation," there is mounting evidence that the white wealthy elite consider drugs an excellent albeit totally racsist means of "de-colorizing" of America.

15) In passing the author points out that the 9-11 Commissioners, with one exception, did not meet the Congressional mandate that they all be free of any association with the Bush Administration.

The author also does magnificently in discussing "suppressed histories" as a "standard" U.S. Government operating procedure. Lest you think this is fanciful, see my reviews of Fog Facts: Searching for Truth in the Land of Spin and Lost History: Contras, Cocaine, the Press & 'Project Truth'. The FACT is that the U.S. Government and its corporate partners and its international criminal allies is routinely deceiving the American people and mis-serving We the People.

I have reviewed a number of 9-11 books and DVDs, and I stake my personal integrity on the following statement:

We cannot prove conclusively that Dick Cheney, Rudy Gulliani, and Larry Silverstein conspired to not only let 9-11 happen, but use a missile on the Pentagon and controlled demolitions to murder thousands, destroy evidence (of missing 2.3 trillion in Pentagon, SEC investigaions in NYC), and commit multiple counts of insurance fraud. I am however convinced beyond a shadow a doubt that America needs a Truth and Reconcilation Commission, a Public Invetigation, and that all those who were not properly interviewed (most) or interviewed at all (even more) must be brought into the open. I believe this to be the crime of the century, treasonous in every respect, and I do not want Dick Cheney to have the pleasure of dying before we can investigate and if proven, convict and incarcerate.

This review is from: The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle Blowers, and the Cover-up (Paperback)
In a field filled with "armchair adventurers" with implausible scenarios seemingly designed to make the government's own story seem more like the truth, Sander hicks is one of only a few writers on 9.11 who is not afraid to go out and "committ journalism."

He not only does a great job in describing our findings about Atta in Florida (in Welcome to Terrorland) but breaks new ground with discoveries which have unquestionable relevence to the truth about 9/11: for example, that terror flight school owner Arne Kruithof's past includes cargo flights in a DC-8 in and out of South America. And his interview with randy glass is thought provoking, to say the least, and provides some much-needed context in the search for answers to the larger questions posed by 9.11.

4.0 out of 5 stars Closer to 4.5, good read despite a couple problems, February 4, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle Blowers, and the Cover-up (Paperback)
Like many people, I first became familiar with Sander Hicks from the days of the "Fortunate Son' debacle and the subsequent documentary, "Horns & Halos," following Sander and "Son" author JH Hatfield's attempts to republish the controversial Bush biography. His relentless pursuit of fairness and truth has always appealed to me, so naturally, when I first got wind of Sander writing a book concerning 9/11 and the areas of concern that were not addressed officially, I was perplexed. Finishing it, I do not feel let down, but a little bit disappointed in a couple of areas.

I'll start with what I got out of this book before griping however. Hicks' prose is well written, passionate, and not overly verbose, which could have drug the book down in pseudo-intellectual jargon and making the read a bit tougher to focus on. Sander has more of an upbeat and energetic "everyman" quality to his writing, which is helpful considering the depressing factual content within. Much like Sander says in the book, "My naivete was gone." Indeed mine is, and part of that can be attributed to Sander's research, which doesn't leave one with a lot of empty questions. It is detailed, asks the right questions, and backs up his hypotheses with enough evidence to convince the reader.

Some interesting points Sander makes or embellishes upon in regards to 9/11 within:
*The stories of whistleblowers Randy Glass and the controversial Delmart Vreeland, and how they corroborate with the experiences Hicks had with "Son" author JH Hatfield.
*The USG recruits intelligence agents with questionable records as a means of discrediting them if they go public.
*9/11 was meant to be a nuclear attack according to Glass, who confirms that the USG knew well in advance the attacks were coming.
*The Pakistani ISI is deep in the mix, and naturally, the CIA is in bed with the ISI. Go figure.
*The events of 9/11 were not sudden or spastic, but a natural step in the geopolitical realm brought about by events such as Iran-Contra.
*The 9/11 hijackers trained at airports owned by people linked to Iran-Contra, airports which were also a focus of continuing illegal drug activity.
*Mohammed Atta was likely a double agent.
*Many of the 9/11 Commission members and appointees to the Bush administration have a record of aiding and abetting government corruption instead of fixing it, especially DHS Director Michael Chertoff.
*The links between former Ambassador Leo Wanta, Vince Foster, Mark Rich, Delmart Vreeland, and the current political climate.
*A rogue element exists within the government that operates behind a veil of propaganda and bureaucratic rhetoric which deceives the public.

Pretty impressive amount of detail, evidence, and reporting for a such a quick read. I enjoyed the fact that Hicks included the warning letters of both Vreeland and Glass within for the reader's analysis. I also enjoyed Hicks' tenacity to debunk the myth of a Pentagon missle attack, yet I don't feel he provided enough to accurately dispel the notion for a lot of people. I reccomend anyone still supporting the idea to check www.oilempire.us and read the section on the Pentagon. It's hard to escape the conclusion that Flight 77 in fact did hit the Pentagon in 2001.

My gripes with this book are as follows.

1.I don't feel Hicks took the time to hone in on evidence showing the involvement of previous administrations. The supposition is there, but his focus seems to dominantly rely on the Bush White House, which I think is a fairly weak POV when you assimilate all the literature on 9/11 out there. The overwhelming amount of info out there points to a movement that has been in motion for years if not decades, one that can not land squarely on the shoulders of George Bush.
2. Hicks sticks to a more "Let it happen" viewpoint than a "Make it happen" viewpoint, which I personally feel the overwhelming amount of evidence and inquiry has indicated. One could argue this is my opinion, but I don't feel Sander has effectively convinced me that things were just allowed to happen.
3.The book, while well-written, doesn't really follow any logical narrative, jumping from one thing to the next, chapter by chapter. I felt it could have benefitted much more from a more "day-by-day" method of investigation, showcasing how the pieces fit as Sander wrote the book. Also, a concluding chapter that would serve as a sort of recap would help bring in the final conclusions that much more effectively.

At any rate, this is still a fantastic read and a wonderful contribution to the vast supply of 9/11 literature out there. I feel that this book should be included in the ranks of heavily supported works like "New Pearl Harbor," "Terror Timeline," "Crossing the Rubicon," and (the best, IMO) "9/11 Synthetic Terror: Made in the USA." With all of these books combined, it's hard to escape the notion that a rogue element in the government hijacked the nation a long time ago, and that 9/11 is just another chapter in their dark history.

This review is from: The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle Blowers, and the Cover-up (Paperback)
I respect Sander Hicks for all the extreme leg-and-keyboard work that obviously went into this book. 'Big Wedding' is very educational on certain background aspects of 9-11, such as the Pakistani/BCCI connection.

What I wonder is how people such as Hicks and also Daniel Hopsicker can do such great background work and then stop one inch short of the obvious conclusion that is staring us all straight in the face: 9/11 wasn't just "allowed to happen" - it was a domestically engineered shadow government psyop from the word go.

I mean give me a break - if it walks like a duck, looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.

These authors call for a radical realignment of American values but I don't think that can ever happen as long as we can't face the truth - which is that, not the entire USA government, but rogue elements within the CIA engineered 9/11, and received FBI cooperation in covering their tracks. Atta and the others were groomed in a parallel track as patsies, the standard formula applies. Simple actually, when you take your blinders off. So far, David Ray Griffin is the sanest voice that has manfully stepped up to this clear conclusion.

My comments are not "Bush Bashing", as I have no personal agenda against Bush, nor do I believe that "Bush Knew!" I subscribe to Webster Griffin Tarpley's idea that Bush was presented after the fact, later that same day, with 9-11 as a fait acompli. 9-11 was an invisible coup.

The main thing that seems to bug Hicks is the 9-11 skeptics' idea that no Boeing ever hit the Pentagon. In this one area, Hicks treats the evidence very, very shoddily in his rush to paint that claim as utter, total nonsense. His treatment is really shallow. He claims that the main skeptic point is that the Pentagon entry hole was too small for a Boeing. He then points to the fully collapsed Pentagon facade picture as his main counterargument, implying that the huge collapsed facade section shown in his published photo was plenty big enough to have been caused by a Boeing (p. 105).

Totally missing is any mention that the full facade collapse photo was taken over 30 minutes past initial impact. The INITIAL crash scene photos show a far, far smaller "entry hole" for the "Boeing".

Beyond that he relies on a collection of supposed eye-witnesses and some discredited urban legends about finding bracelets and body parts in the wreckage. That stuff may be true, but I think the preponderance of the evidence indicates that no Boeing hit the Pentagon.

There is plenty more evidence to take the Hicks and Hopsickers of this world over the edge, why do they cling by their toenails to the precipice? Guys, the evidence is all over the place, fingerprints are everywhere, give it up: it was a CIA blackop from soup to nuts.

I titled this review "Limited Hangout". Hicks himself points out that this is used as a term of mindless abuse for anyone, such as himself, who can't go the full nine yards on 9-11 skepticism. By giving the review this title I don't mean to suggest any conscious or paid deception on Hicks part, nor any bad faith. Nevertheless, his otherwise very interesting and valuable book is functioning as a very high quality, extremely educational limited hangout.

This review is from: The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle Blowers, and the Cover-up (Paperback)
Now that you've read Ruppert and Hopsicker and thought, "Wow, that's intense, but were those guys making that stuff up?" Wonder no more. Hicks goes there and goes beyond. He tracks down such odd birds as Glass and Vreeland and takes the story to the next level, along the way explaining why sometimes the best information comes from the least likely sources. Sander is not speaking to us from the ivory tower. He has been involved at the grass-roots level of the 9/11 truth movement as a speaker, a researcher, and an activist. This guy is talking to the people that you and I only read about, and he's got some great stories to tell along the way. If you haven't yet read Hicks's book, you don't know the whole truth about 9/11.

5.0 out of 5 stars Foundational principles sacrificed, October 21, 2006
By
Luc REYNAERT (Beernem, Belgium) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle Blowers, and the Cover-up (Paperback)
This book tells the story of the gagging of the whistle-blowers, who predicted that `9/11 was going to happen' and `was allowed to happen'.

The author sees 9/11 as a desperate last effort of the powerful in the US (mega-capital) to divert the power of the people for their own selfish goals, not for Lincoln's vision of real democracy `government of the people, by the people, for the people'. The mighty sacrificed the US foundational principals for pure power.
A crucial text in this context is the PNAC (Project for a new American Century) where the authors ask for a huge jump in US military spending with new bases in Central Asia and the Middle East, the toppling of non-compliant regimes, the shredding of international treaties, total control of the world's energy resources, militarization of outer space, complete control of internet and a willingness to use nuclear weapons to achieve US goals. This manifesto recognized the need for `some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor.'
Actually, `the US war machine sucks down half the tax dollar of every working American'.

This book contains also excellent information about the 9/11 ring leader Mohamed Atta, who apparently was some kind of double agent, but was `compartmentalized': `he clearly didn't know exactly what he was doing.'
Also very important is William Colby's statement that `the CIA owns everyone of any major significance in the major media'.

I highly recommend this book to all those who love freedom, alongside books by W.G. Tarpley, D.R. Griffin and N.M. Ahmed, as well as the BBC TV-series `The Power of Nightmares'.

4.0 out of 5 stars Can this be true? It's hard to take in but..., October 7, 2005
This review is from: The Big Wedding: 9/11, the Whistle Blowers, and the Cover-up (Paperback)
It is hard to entertain the thought, let alone believe, that our government could let 9/11 happen in order to get the country behind its neo-con agenda. I always thought the current administration took their eye off the ball concerning 9/11 because of its preoccupation with ripping the country and planet off economically (which is happening). I figured they were too obsessed with economic gain to bother with things like dot connecting. It blows me away to think there might be more to it, yet Hicks sets out a convincing case that this may be so. His tone is non-hysterical, caring, careful.

If he is right that 9/11 was allowed to take its course (in some ways possibly enabled) precisely to further power economic agendas, then we are facing an unbearable state of affairs. Those we trust with our protection are ready to do us harm for gain.

I'm devastated by the possibility, to put it a bit wildly, that terrorists are employees of our government, i.e., turned into our money machine. That Atta thought he was sacrificing himself for Islam but did it for Halliburton. Or, to make a syllogism out of a line in the movie, "Operation Dreamland": war is money; terrorists are war; terrorists are money.

Makes my hair stand on end. It's hard to take in. Can it be true? Hicks voice and work comes through as needing to be taken very seriously.
