I have used some Northern Tool dollies for years. They drove me nuts: they would constantly slip out from under the skis and I couldn't come up with a system to hold them in place.

I don't know how I stumbled on these Power Wheel dollies, but I saw the video of them on the mfg's website and saw the guy DRIVING his snowmobile on them. Wow, it is always a fight with my old dollies to get the snowmobile up the ramp into the trailer at the beginning of each season.

I received these last summer. I took the snowmobile and trailer to a parking lot and strapped the dollies on. I drove out of the trailer and around the parking lot to a hose to wash the machine down. Then I took it back to the trailer where the wheels couldn't quite clear the ramp edge.

I hadn't thought about that little problem and now was by myself with the snowmobile out of the trailer. It was a struggle to get the wheels up the ramp by myself because the machine would just roll back off. Somehow I managed to pull it up and grab the break before it rolled back again. At that point I started the machine and it zipped up the ramp.

Since then I cut down some 2x4s at 45 degrees so that I can hit those with the wheels and popup onto the trailer ramp without any assistance.

Other than that user induced error, these worked great. Now any time I want to move a machine by myself it is quite easy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Big Wheel Dolly Parts Installation Caused Damage, January 7, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Big Wheel Drivable Snowmobile Dollies - Steel
I installed all the parts precisely as directed in the Big Wheel Dolly instructions. The end caps were very difficult to install, even with the socket suggestion I had to strike them very hard multiple times and they still didn't want to install straight on the axles. End caps such as these are a very cheap and poorly engineered idea anyway. 3 endcaps failed to install properly and their internal teeth became damaged which prevented them from being usable. Due to the striking force required to install the endcaps the tiny inside welds on the axles became broken which now enables all the axles to move freely, around and side-to-side, in their holes. This is my second set of Big Wheel Dollys I have owned. I was very happy with the first ones but I am very disappointed with this new set. So now I can't use them until I get some help. I currently have a Customer Service message out to Rec-Direct for assistance. Rec-Direct responded and is sending me a replacement set of Dollies free of charge.

2.0 out of 5 stars Big Wheel Drivable Snowmobile Dollies - Steel, December 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Big Wheel Drivable Snowmobile Dollies - Steel
Big Wheel Drivable Snowmobile Dollies - Steel are a good concept. But if you have carbides on you skis this product will not work for you. The side rails which are supposed rise above the ski will be too short.
