Saw this group at Warp Tour this year and have to say they definitely put on an amazing show! One of the highlights of the day that had everyone talking and saying these guys are gonna be big soon. About a week after that, a local radio station was playing one of their songs, "Until the Day I Die" (excellent song by the way) in a tribute to the tour. If you like groups like Finch, you'll love Story of the Year. Lyrics are awesome and the music is just... well, ya gotta hear it! You'll for sure be hearing all about them soon!

Being from St. Louis, I have enjoyed the chance to see these guys play live more than most. Let me just point out: that is half the reason why I love them. They put on incredible shows live. And you must check out this cd along with Page Avenue (released tomorrow). You truly need to know Story of the Year as Big Blue Monkey. One of my favorite bands.

BigBlueMonkey simply kicks ass. Just because they have a new name doesnt change a thing. they still rock harder than anyother band out there today.

Like many, I got my first Story of the Year experience at a Goldfinger Concert. After that night I can honestly say I am hooked to Story of the Year. The songs on the cd are amazing, and they are ten times better live. Be sure to check out Story of the Year at the VANS WARP TOUR, you will not regret it. Also their new cd, Page Avenue will be in stores September 16.

I have loved these guys since no one knew who they were, they are awesome, I went to their show last saturday and it was SO great. Their music is full of emotion, guitars play beautiful melodies and the sounds of the vocals are chilling, he can range anywhere from a serenade to screaming. It's so sexy and raw, they rock.

So all the reviews on here are 8 years old for the most part so I figured, why not do a current. This is Story of the Year in their current lineup. You MUST get this ep, I had it since it came out in 2002 (I live in St. Louis). This is still one of my fav CDs to listen to almost 10yrs later. All the songs are good on this, especially Razorblades and Cupcakes (my fav SOTY song, period).

I just saw them play in Albany, and simply put they were amazing. I never herd of them before i went to the concert, and as soon as i herd there first song i was amazed. They got the crowd going, they were entertaining and there music was awesome. They are gonna be huge one day........

Wow, what can I say.... my friends were ranting and raving at the Warped Tour about how good these guys were, I wished I would have been able to hear them play there but I missed them by 15 minutes on the volcom stage. Came home and listened to some of their songs.. amazing! They sound a lot like Thursday (the lyrics aren't as good) but a bit more punkish.

I saw these guys live when the opened for Goldfinger last year. They were extremely impressive, so I bought this EP from Adam (the bass player) for a measly [$$$], which was worth it for sure. [...]P>Anyway, on to the music: this cd is lyrically very good, with lyrics that I can really identify with, like escaping a small town (when I give you the finger you're already dead to me, do you really think you matter? that's the story of the year).

Do yourself a favor and check them out.
