I purchased a Vue Cup brewer less than 1 year ago. Slowly over time, I noticed the availability of Vue product decreasing. Today, what was PAGES of product on Keurig's site is down to 3. When you call, they won't even admit to their own sister company GMCR discontinuing Vue Cup product(s). So, I'm here trying to find alternatives. Don't be fooled. Keurig 2.0 is coming out and the first thing to go is Vue Cup brewers. I found a website stating that Vue Brewers are "recently discontinued" albeit no official word from Keurig has come out yet. Now I'm out looking for a new brewer ... having to spend ANOTHER $200 and you better believe me, I"m buying it before Keurig 2.0 release.
Now Keurig 2.0, in an attempt to prevent you from using what they consider "fake" cups (only deemed so because Keurig's patten has run out and anyone can make an affordable/inexpensive K-cup now), will use RF ID technology so only "authorized" 2.0 cups can be used in the new brewer.
Isn't that going just a little too far?
My message to Keurig: Make a good product. Sell it for a reasonable price. If you build it, they will come.
