5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Insanity
Please excuse the vagueness of my review, I don't want to ruin a single moment of this book for anyone. The Amazon description is really all you need to know going in.

As I said in my title, this book is pure insanity. It's literally non-stop action from cover to cover, to the point that my heart was going a mile a minute from the adrenaline rush. There's...

3.0 out of 5 stars Bigfoot, Zombies, Bigfoot Zombies
Exactly the same as Bigfoot Wars. All of the characters who might be "heroes" are killed and the novella (this is not book length) skips from character to character and lacks a cohesiveness as there are countless characters whose sole purpose is to be ripped apart. I was hoping this would be better than Bigfoot War but there has been no growth by the author. This story...

There's even a new development towards the end of the book that had me giggling in pure, geeky glee. It has such incredible battle scenes that I'd give my arm to see this made into a movie or video game. It's everything I wanted in a sequel to Bigfoot War and more. That book was a mere appetizer compared to this. I don't know how far Mr. Brown plans on taking this series but if book 2 is any indication, it's going to be an incredible ride.

If you haven't read the first book yet, what are you waiting for? If you have, expect Dead in the Woods to blow your mind. To me this series has gone from being mere novels to pretty much being an experience. I'd give it 6 stars if I could, it's that much fun. I've read several of Mr. Brown's books and in my opinion, this is easily his best work.

I know I'm gushing but I can't help it, the book is just so awesome.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why can't I rate it 6 stars?, June 18, 2011

Okay, first things first... I hate giving out 5 star reviews. But this book, wow, where's the sixth star?

I picked this up because I read the first book. The first book was great, a quick read. This book is pure action and pure horror. The beasts are more real in this book and when you top it off with, uh, zombies, wow... what a combo.

At first, I wasn't sure what to think of the idea of mixing zombies with bigfoot... my brain worried of cliches... but what Eric does here and how he creates this world of zombies and bigfoot - this is real horror. Real horror.

The idea of WHERE the zombies come from is amazing... and that's all I'll say, I won't spoil a thing.

BUT I will add one more thing... if you've read this review, then you need to scroll back up and click BUY.

Eric S. Browns Bigfoot War II is a fast passed, not stop, action packed story that I was sad that ended.
If you a fan of Bigfoot and surprises, this is the book for you. The detailing and descriptive nature of this book isn't for everyone, but I'd highly suggest it to anyone who like Zombie Stories. Awesome Job Eric, I look forward to the next book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bigfoot and Zombies? Oh My!, October 28, 2011
Eric S. Brown has done it again. I've been a fan of his zombie books for years and I have also been very fortunate to get to know Eric. It took me a while to get to the first Bigfoot War because I have always read him for his zombie books. But Bigfoot Wars was such a fun and different read, I really could not wait for part two. And what does he do? He mixes in zombies! Yes!

So this book is just plain fun and fast paced. And it has freaking bigfoot in it! I mean how terrifying of a monster can you think of? This guy is able to rip the arm of one guy and lay the smack down on you. Like I said. FUN.

So check out Eric's book, I know I can't wait for the third.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big Foor War 2 Dead in the Woods, September 16, 2011

How does Eric S. Brown make a sequal better than the orginal? By throwing a huge curve ball midway through the story. I am not going to tell you what, because I want you to be just as suprised as I was. I was reading in bed when the curve ball came, and I said out loud "No Freakin WAY" My wife was like what? when I told her she told me to stop (she does not do scary stuff). Anyway this book it truly another awesome accomplishment, and I CAN NOT WAIT to read part 3. Enjoy

5.0 out of 5 stars GORE FILLED FUN PART 2!!!!!!, August 11, 2011
What could possibly make the gore-filled fun of Bigfoot War better than it was??? Double the carnage and throw zombies into the woods of the South and that should do it! The II definitely stands for double the everything wonderful about the first book in this series. More blood, more guts, more Bigfoot monsters and tons more fun! No one is safe, from the lowly gas station attendant to the alpha male Sasquatch!! Everything gets thrown into the mix and it is one hell of wild ride. Bring on Bigfoot War III, Eric S Brown, and dazzle us with whatever warped twist that wonderfully, demented mind can conjure up. Hopefully by then my heart will have stopped racing!!!

Fast paced and fun. Anyone who enjoyed Bigfoot War is sure to love the sequel, which amps up the horror (and body count).

5.0 out of 5 stars Wicked Fun, August 10, 2011
Bigfoot War 2: Dead in the Woods is a rousing action/horror novel by one of the genre's brightest new lights. Eric S. Brown spins a frightfully fun tale. Thumbs up!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rip, Roaring, dead fun., August 7, 2011
This review is from: Bigfoot War 2: Dead in the Woods (Paperback)

From the moment I put down Eric S Browns first big foot tale I was waiting with baited breath for the follow up he had promised, so I was delighted when my little `brown' package arrived. Again the book is quite small at just 137 pages and at some point in the future we may see all (two to date with a third to be released soon) volumes in one binding; Maybe a collector's edition?
But don't let the size put you off because as all of us men know size isn't everything. Browns second adventure into the backwoods of American is once again a rip roaring tale of blood and gore, with the emphasis on rip and roar as the `Feet' leave behind in ruins the small town of babble Creek and forge their way deeper into civilisation.
All but one of our unlucky heroes from the first book are dead, and we are introduced to a whole new set of character who are killed off in a wonderful variety of exciting and painful ways nearly as fast as we meet them.
When I sat down to read BIGFOOT WAR 2 :DEAD IN THE WOODS, I placed a piece of paper beside me in the hope of keeping a tally of death (morbid I know but hey I like gore) I soon left that piece of paper down and just read, I read BFW2 in three sittings (would have been faster but my children do insist on eating) but it could easily take over a full night.
I did wonder how he'd improve or at least keep up with his first venture but I need not have worried, how do you make Bigfoot even more scarey? Add Zombies ... nuff said.
Final Thoughts
Bigfoot Wars 2 is a recommended read, as long as you don't get too attached to the character you'll be fine. Another simple book to grade, and just like the first I have to give a full 5 out of 5.
