Product Description

Amazon.com Review

The Bigg Lugg tool holder might be a deceptively simple-looking device, but it's a breakthrough accessory on the job site. Anyone who's ever dropped a cordless drill or a nail gun off the top of a ladder or scaffolding is sure to appreciate the Bigg Lugg's effectiveness. Unlike standard holsters, the Bigg Lugg swivels on your belt, so tools continue to hang down even when you bend over or sit--they don't slip out the way they can with holsters. It also folds flat to your belt when not in use, which helps keep it from hooking or getting caught. The Bigg Lugg clips to any belt, though it fastens most securely to a 2-inch belt (on wide belts, the clasp can't pinch shut). We use ours mainly for cordless drills, but it also works well for nail guns and reciprocating saws. While the Bigg Lugg might not change your life, it will make your workday a lot easier. --Jon Groebner

4.0 out of 5 stars Great gadget for money, January 10, 2000

This review is from: Bigg Lugg Power Tool Holder Belt Hook (Tools & Home Improvement)
When I'm working with wood my preference for joining is with screws. I also create a pilot hole in most instances before I fasten with a screw. This gives me a strong durable joint that I can rely on. The point of all this is that switching between a drill bit and a screw tip was not very practical, and the only solution for me was operating one drill with a screw tip and the other with a drill bit. The problem I encountered was not having enough hands for both drills and placement on the work surface. I placed drills on the ground and got dirt in them. I placed them on ladders and they have fallen. Want to see a grown man cry ? Just drop a $250 dollar drill from a 12 foot ladder on concrete. The Bigg Lugg from Prazi was just the soulution I was looking for. In fact the moment I saw this devise I ordered 2, one for each side of my tool belt. It ballances the load on my belt and allows quick interchangeability of drill types. This is a well made product, simplistic in design and very functional. I highly recommend it for the convience it brings as well as the safety for the tools sake. My only noteworthy negative would be that I wish that the base of the swivel was more rounded so it would be a little easier on the plastic handle of the drill. All that being said, it is a very worthwile investment, one that will pay for itself in short order.

5.0 out of 5 stars The third hand that won't get in your way, April 20, 2000
This review is from: Bigg Lugg Power Tool Holder Belt Hook (Tools & Home Improvement)
I must say this is the best tool holder on the market. We have several drill holsters sitting around gathering dust. They just don't hold drills securely. It's very disconcerting and frustrating to be on a plank or ladder and have your favorite drill take a dive whether its sitting on a flat surface or hanging ( securely you thought) in a holster. No matter how tough your drill is you have to wonder, "Will it ever work again? More importantly was anyone hurt by its fall ? " With the Big Lugg it's not even an issue. That little hook holds securely at any angle. It works for lots of other things too. Nail guns, sawzalls, you name it. If you dont need it, it folds flat, just swivel it out of your way. As others have mentioned, the clip dosen't grip a 3 " belt very well. I got a 3" belt that tapers to 2" in the front and have had no trouble since. Better get a bunch, because everyone will want one !

3.0 out of 5 stars Terrific product, but. . ., January 22, 2000
This review is from: Bigg Lugg Power Tool Holder Belt Hook (Tools & Home Improvement)
I purchased the Bigg Lugg for all of my carpenters, and have found only one problem. The clip isn't deep enough to fit over the 2" web belt that is the backbone of our tool belts. We have changed all of the clips for longer ones, and love the result. I have been overwhelmed by other builders asking me to modify their Bigg Luggs for them.
