Anyone expecting the type of behind-the-scenes mayhem and concert footage they got with the "Up In Smoke Tour" video will probably be dissapointed by this collection of footage that attempts to connect itself to the Snoop Dogg tour of the same name. Don't get me wrong. This is the authorized video for Snoop's tour which took place in 2001. Problem is that most of the DVD is dedicated to events and situations that have very little connection to the concert. A good portion of the presentation is dedicated to educating the viewer on marijuana. Another portion has Snoop talking about his influence on rap music. There's another segment where Snoop and his tour mates talk about their favorite basketball players and it's followed up by Snoop playing basketball while his friends talk about his basketball talents. There's something like ten minutes of footage where Snoop and his hypemen speed through ten years of his "greatest hits" and that's about the only glance we get at anything from the actual concert. None of the other artists on the tour are given much time on the DVD. There's brief interviews with Daz, RBX, Nate Dogg, and a few others but the majority of the interviews are done with Snoop, Bishop "Magic" Duan Juan, and Goldie Loc of Tha Eastsidaz. Duan Juan is particulary boring as he tends to just regurgitate Snoop Dogg's lingo like an eight-year-old fan recites his favorite movie. The backstage concert stuff is the best part of the show but unfortunatetly, there isn't a whole lot of it. The highlight has to be DPG members Bad Azz and Soopafly bagging on each other. One of the tour's biggest featured artists, Kurupt gets no mention on this DVD. More than likely, due to the fact that he jumped to Death Row just months after the tour's finish and has had some less than kind things to say about the DPG camp as of late. If you look real closely, you can spot him in a few of the concert shots but that's about all that you get to see of him. As a fan of Snoop and Tha Dogg Pound, I have to say that this DVD is a bit of a letdown.

This video is a waste of time. It looks like it was filmed with a home video camera and the sound quality is like listening to a concert through a cell phone.

Do not waste your money.

Must have for every Snoop fan. Features some live preformances from the tour, back-stage parties, Interviews w/Snoop, Warren G, Nate Dogg, & a few others, + some footage for all the smokers out there from a Norml confrence. Go pick this up!!

Lotz of footage of Snoop & his homies blazin fat ass blunts onstage & backstatge, interviews w/Snoop, Nate Dogg, Warren G, Tha Eastsidaz, Don Juan, & a few others, Live preformances, Exclusive footage from High Times & Norml Events (for the chokers), & plenty of other good sh*t. Gotta check this out & also cop "the up in smoke tour" w/ Dre, Cube, Snoop, & EM

this dvd is crazy Don Magic Juan is funny as hell and the other rappers that are in this dvd are too.Snoop is da best and this has so many hits such as who am I.peace

this dvd is the best one ive ever seen snoop put out. the concert footage and sound isnt the greatest but this dvd is so much more that i thought i was getting. Dont get me wrong the concert parts are so dope to hear my fav snoop classics and i was left with one question how did they get clearance from Suge to put out his Death Row classics, but this dvd shines as a replayable classic. You would be so so suprised at what is on this, see most people are happy getting a concert dvd like the up and smoke where snoop performs in one city, you watch it after fast forwarding through all the opening acts like westside connec and you dont have to watch it again for years...this is quite a different approach. I was literally hurting from laughing so hard because this dvd gives you the bishop don juan, it gives you backstage, it gives you the norml conference...you cant even take it all in if you watched it once! i say if you like snoop, if you like weed, if you like biatches and hiznoes, you got a winner with the puff puff pass!
