The Subversive sound of my bedroom,
By alexander laurence (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bigger Cages Longer Chains (Audio CD)
People always talk about this band's politics. Like they really took time to understand them. Music just can't be utter escapism. Well it can, with Pop. But that is not what we are talking about here. This EP collects all the recent singles and all the videos. It also has a Noam Chomsky video. This is a good introduction to the Noise Conspiracy who have always been original in their thinking man's rock and roll. There's even a surprising cover of N.E.R.D.'s "Baby Doll." They seem like they are at a crossroads. Maybe the next few years, they will really shine. Capitalism stole my virginity too. Get over it.
