5.0 out of 5 stars A couple of hot ones from the sixties..., April 22, 2010

This review is from: Biggest Bundle of Them All: Zigzag (Audio CD)
A couple of winners: Ortolani's BIGGEST BUNDLE (1967) has that 60's Italiano flair that he first brought to the US in THE YELLOW ROLLS ROYCE. It's got some groovy bossa nova, and there's a couple of cool songs, one by Johnny Mathis and the other by Eric Burton and The Animals - talk about opposite ends of the stick! It's lively, loud and lushly melodic. Oliver Nelson's ZIGZAG (1970) is more about coolness, and the jazz cuts on this soundtrack album re-record are much more delectable than the original film tracks found on the Film Score Monthly CD. This is one double feature album that really delivers, so I'd get my hands on it before it becomes a lot more expensive.
