I've had the pleasure of owning (and wearing out) a few Keith Whitley Compilation albums, and I'd have to say that this one is the best basic, yet comprehensive, collections out there. The sound is excellent, and the 16 numbers provided here are a fair reflection of his "much-to-short" career. The usual biggest hits are here, including "Dont Close Your Eyes" and "I'm No Stranger to the Rain"; but best of all is the inclusion of lesser known, but equally as good, "Turn to Love" and my favorite "I'm Over You". The price cannot be beat. Highly recommended.

This is pure and honest country soul music as only Keith Whitley could express it.

One of my favorite singers. To bad he left us too soon. I'm sure he would be making great music today.

We lost this entertainer all too soon, but he left a treasure of fantastic music. This set is timeless.

This is a great CD, but the problem is when you load it on to an I-Pod, the I-Pod cannot identify the CD or the contents of the CD. It does not recognize the songs titles or the cover artwork on the CD. I don't know why, wish I would have known before the purchase. I hope this review helps someone making the decision of whether to purchase it or not. Other than that the CD sounds normal.

Love this Cd, we really miss his voice in country music. Such a terrible loss when we lost you Keith. Still keep finding CDs we cant live without though even aftr all these years.

I bought this for my Dad for his Birthday and he loves all the songs! I'm a Keith Whitley fan as well and it is a great CD.

This is the best arrangement of Keith Whitley's songs. Each and every song is great listening of one of the best country artists. Definitely worth the money and then some!

Keith Whitley still is a huge influence to many country artists today!And with these classic songs you can easily see why.
There's the big hit When You Say Nothing At All(which Alison Krauss did a famous version of).And that's where Keith shines the most,on his beautiful ballads.Such as the big hits Don't Close Your Eyes(love this song),I'm No Stranger To The Rain,and I Wonder Do You Think Of Me.
Although he does have some great uptempos like Miami,My Amy,Hard Livin',and Brotherly Love.
He also recorded some duet hits too,such as Turn Me To Love which features Reba McEntire on harmonies,Would These Arms Be In Your Way which features Emmylou Harris on harmonies and the sweet ballad 'Til A Tear Becomes A Rose with his then-wife Lorrie Morgan.All fantastic songs!
Keith really had a great heartfelt country voice, with a traditional but subtle honky tonk sound that has lived on since his tragic death in 1989.An untimely death that cut short his brief but highly successful career!
This collection brings together all the amazing songs that has now made him a legend....You can't go wrong with this cd. (RIP Keith)
