Expectation vs. Reality,

I must be honest: the only reason I don't give these five stars is because of my own expectations. I thought--because these are essentially the same price--that these were the weighted bands used in Billy Blanks' Boot Camp videos, and these are not them. These have no weights in the handles, and they appear to be a bit "lite" (this spelling used intentionally) and cheap compared to the actual "Billy Bands". But, truth be told, my workout buddy has the real Billy Bands and they have both broken on him during workouts. My cheap-looking non-weighted bands have, so far anyway, held up. So I am a bit disappointed that, for about the same price as the Billy Bands, I didn't get the added weight in the handles. But other than that, these babies have done the job. So I bought some weighted gloves to use with them, and now I'm set.

I bought these bands for my fiance so she could use them with her Tae Bo workouts. She tried them out today and on the very first pull of the band, the foot strap broke and it snapped in her face. Now that I've been able to look at the bands in person, I can tell that these are very cheaply made. Do not purchase! To make things worse, I checked the materials with the band packaging and it specifically states, "sold without warranties or guarantees of any kind". I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

Very Poorly Made,
This review is from: The Biggest Loser Total Body Bands (Sports)
Upon taking them out of the box, I was very happy with what I saw. Once I used them you could tell that one band was tighter than the other. No big deal, I just wrapped the band twice around my hand to give it more resistance. But on the 4th time I used them one of the bands popped. Very poor craftsmanship. I'll have to look for a different brand this time.

One broke after a month of use. I bought these to do Billy's bootcamp workouts and really felt the difference when using the bands. I would really recommend them if you want to use them they way they're supposed to be used (which is without movement). I just don't think they're made for Billy's DVDs. Other than that, highly recommend!

The bands are nice and serve there purpose. I however do not like the connection between the handle and the band. It is uncomfortable and bothers my skin during exercise. I find I have to constantly readjust my hands on the handles so they aren't so uncomfortable and get chafed.

Work good,

The only reason I don't give these bands a five star is because they add a fair resistance to my arms but not for my legs. So to make the resistance even =) I use ankleweights 1 pound and then I can say the workout rocks with the bands and the ankleweights!

Great, but not sturdy enough!,

I mainly used the bands while working out to Billy Blanks' Cardio Blaster or Fat Burning DVDs. On some occasions I would use the bands doing my own routines. After about 10 uses with the bands, one of the loops that goes around your foot snapped. The rubber construction of these bands seem durable, but I guess not strong enough to last over a month of strength training exercises. These things should be able to withstand vigorous workouts - obviously not. I guess the loop was distressed after so many times of putting it on and taking off over my tennis shoe. I don't know. I loved the bands because they benefited in getting a complete workout that just punching the air or kicking without resistance won't do. I might buy some more, but I will make sure they have a warranty first.
