So I ride a road bike, and I am pretty hardcore (at least my wife thinks so). I was looking for a case that would go the distance. I use GPS and Strava a lot, so I needed a holder that would (a) let me use the screen easily, (b) will go the distance off road, and (c) would protect my $600 iPhone from dust, dirt, splashes, falls etc.
Let me tell you, this case will go the distance for you. I've taken it on pretty rough roads, and it really performed. My phone is sealed water-tight, no dust, dirt, or sweat gets in even while I have full access to it. I've used a speaker phone, and if you're wondering about "sound boost" technology in the description, it means the case directs the sound forward so using speakers or speakerphone is not a problem.

For the most part I agree with the favorable reviews for this product:

- iPhone 5 fits perfectly in this case and all buttons are functional, with perfect touch screen sensitivity;
- Phone can be used both on speakerphone mode or with its earpods, but I can't say I'd recommend you talking on the phone while ridding;
- This case is sturdy, well made and will protect your phone against rain, dust, falls, dirt, alien abductions, etc;
- It mounts easily and securely on both bars or stem (I have this on a Cannondale road bike stem). Its also easy and quick to get it in/out off the bike;
- It has an internal lightweight plastic cover that fits perfectly into the case. I could also manage to fit my regular cover into this case (MYBAT Natural Black Sides/Black Circuit Board Back(002) Alloy Executive Back Protector Cover for APPLE iPhone 5) but it won't fit as well as the provided internal cover;

EDIT: I even forgot I also have the SF Matte Black - Apple iPhone 5 Ringke SLIM SF Premium Hard Case AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Unlocked , ECO Package, which fits perfectly and can be used as a replacement for the provided internal case, allowing the use of iBikeConsole without "undressing" my phone!

The only two issues I can point are:
- This case could be smaller. I understand the reason for the extra internal room is for allowing earbud/charging cable connections but I don't really need them while riding my bike, I would prefer a case as close as possible to the actual iPhone size;
- The sleep/wake button is a little too small and sometimes hard to press, especially if you're wearing gloves.

Overall, I highly recommend the iBikeConsole iPhone 5 Bicycle Holder Mount

THIS IS AN UPDATE ON NOVEMBER 23, 2013: I've now received two replacement mounts free of charge from the company, and I've raised my rating from 2 to 4 stars. The customer service has been unparalleled, and they've been outstanding at supporting their product. I've had the new mount on the bike for over a month now, and so far so good. There is still a bit of rattling, but my iPhone is well protected, and the design of the new mount is much improved over the last version I had which broke. Thank you!!

The I really gave it a try... the first one I bought in June on 2013 leaked - luckily not badly and I wasn't caught in a downpour or my iPhone may have been ruined. It would leak from simply sweat dripping on it. The seller (Bike2Power) was super to deal with and sent me a new one promptly (they even leak checked it for me before sending). I was happy with the replacement - no leaks!!

I used it on my road bike and put in moderate to long miles about 150-200 total per week - strictly road riding. Here are a few items that I believe others should be aware of (then I'll share the deal breaker with you):

1. The other comments I read about the headphone jack being pretty much useless are true, but I wasn't concerned because I use blue tooth headphones anyway.
2. I live in a tropical environment, and my gloves and fingertips get sweaty, so after awhile of riding it becomes more and more difficult to use the touch screen on the phone - something to do with the face of the console screen. It works great in dry conditions, however. If it gets rained on - forget about it - you can't control your phone well at all unless you take it out of the case.
3.

This phone case works great for having the phone right in front of you during a ride. The response to touch is fine even with the relatively thick screen protector on my iPhone 5.

I have a thin Spigen case for my phone and while I can put my phone into the iBike case with it still on, it pretty much crushes the phone to close it because of the nubs in the foam liner. iBikeConsole would have you instead use the included inner case, but that means you have to pop your phone out of your day case for the ugly semi-transparent inner case. This inner case is like a typical thin case but with a multitude of cutouts for the case to align to the inner padding. Why they did this is beyond me. The phone is quite nestled inside the foam wrapper without have to use these odd registration points all over the place. If they got rid of those (I might just cut them off), then you could simply drop in your phone with any thin case on it.

In addition to the close tolerances of the phone, the screen takes a lot of pressure at the top most hinge area (even when using their inner case). I have had a semi-soft screen protector on my phone since I got it, and this case quickly put two deep indentations (almost cuts) in it about 1/3 inch down on either side and about the same amount inward from the edge. It hasn't marred the edge of the phone but it seems overly tight even with a relatively thin screen protector. It seems this case expects a completely naked iPhone. The case itself, while removable, is much too bulky and hard to use in your pocket so you are constantly forced to swap the phone from one case to another. Not exactly convenient.
