The movie for what it is is a good movie. Not everyone rides a motorcycle to know the differences. The movie is just to introduce you to something that non-bikers may not know existed.A sub-culture of people from various lifestyles getting coming together through motorcycle riding. As an African-American it was nice to see a movie that was not a gang banger movie, typical romantic comedy/man bashing movie. If this movie came on tv, would i watch it? More than likely. Will i buy it on dvd? YES. Was it entertaining? To me yes. To crotch-rocket riders, they may no like it, but to the average person that always wanted to ride a bike but never have they make like it. Kind of like the Fast and the Furious, when it came out and people that already where doing there cars like those complained about it being unrealistic, or Barbershop being unrealistic. Just enjoy the movie.

This movie was definatly better than either the fast and the furious, or 2fast 2furious. The movie was made for more than hyper teens looking for a way to break out and rebel. Not that i'm dissing the furious series. They're ok if your looking for bad plots and fast driving. The situations in Biker Boyz with Jaleel's family were real problems often found in teens and families today. Making the movie more real to me. Not only that, but the bike stunts where alot cooler than any other racing movie I have seen up to date.
On the whole, I enjoyed every moment of this fast paced movie. Don't worry about wasted popcorn on this movie, for there won't be any such thing.

Slow, boring and inaccurate.,

The biker subculture depicted in this movie doesn't exist. Yes, there are several real biker subcultures -- Motocrossers/Dirt Riders, BIKERS (Hells Angels/Banditos Harely Riders), RUBS (Rich Urban Bikers - Doctors and Dentists on Harleys), Club Riders (weekend riders of various brand cruisers and tourers), and Crotch Rocket Riders but this movie doesn't show them. They think they are showing crotch rocket riders, but but I doubt anyone in the movie really rides. It makes a typical Hollywood mistake of mixing dirt riding and street riding (remember how, in MI2, the tires magically changes from street slicks to trail knobbies on Tom Cruise's machine mid-chase?). Same phony stuff here. In one race the rider jumps a berm on his Hyabusa. Ha!! Good way to destroy a great bike (there is not close to enough shock travel on these bikes for that). Fishburn's helmet magically changes from an open face helmut to a full face helmet when he closes the lid. Other riders are using motocross helments with no face shield and racing at 170 MPH. Good way to die when the wind streams tears from your eyes and rips the helmet from your head. No rider Fishburn's age with a grown son will drag race on the street. He got to be that age by not being that stupid. There are old riders, there are bold riders, but there are no old, bold riders. Bad Dialog. No Plot. Hollywood version of biker subculture. Bad movie.

This movie derived from the life of the real "king of Cali" and the lives of the bike clubs themselves. The acting and races were legit and the bikes were very hot. This is a very good movie.

American International Pictures lives on!,

I think that American International Pictures made a template for these sort of movies 50 years ago, and with some updating, special effects, a wider ethnic mix and dirty language, the same movies are just being rehashed over and over again. Think about it,is the plot the same with minor variations as a hotrod movie from the 50's? Of course it is, and 50 years from now, they'll probably do it all over again. But, having made that statement, I LOVE THESE MOVIES. True, they're no brainers, but who cares! Nowhere does it say any motion picture has to be realistic. It's good fun and I enjoyed it. And, I'll watch it all over again many times before my time is up. Who cares if it has the mother of all weak plots, what do you want? "One Flew over the Cuckoo's nest" So what if the stunts and the races were unrealistic, if I want realism I'll watch "The English Paitent" providing I can stay awake that long. But I had no trouble staying awake thru this one. See it and enjoy it and please, don't take it too seriously.

...this is not. That is not the point. The entire point of this type of movie is to entertain. To suspend belief, and enjoy the film on its own merits. Back in the 1980s, most films were completely absurd. They were laid-back, have-fun flicks. Then in the late 90s came what I term, the "Art-Core" genre, where *EVERY* film is required to have some sort of cheesy, Intro Humanities class philosophy and absurd camera work to make it a viable form of entertainment. The problem is, most of us have taken that as what to expect, and so when a film comes along that is not fitting to this mold, we scorn and reject it. Come on, the "Z" on the end of "BOYZ" alludes to the lack of serious discourse in this film. At what point (for those of you giving bad reviews) were you convinced this was going to be an Oscar-Calibre motion picture? It's obviously not, so rate it on its merits. It is a cheesy, no-brainer action flick. A fantasy story in a modern-day setting. So what if the biker culture portrayed doesn't exist? Neither did the "outlaw" biker-hippie culture before "Easy Rider", inkeeping with that film's cult status. Biker Boyz, if you are looking for somebody's cliche'd philosophical ramblings, or avant-garde cinematography, falls short. Biker Boyz, if you are looking for good, clean, brainless action, excells beautifully. Great, *if* you are capable of sitting back, relaxing, and putting aside all that artsy-shmartsy nonesense that purvades nearly every film released nowadays.
