About the Author

A native of Wisconsin, Steve Johnson has biked extensively throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, and other Midwestern states. Steve has written about various outdoor activities in such publications as Bicycling, Hooked on the Outdoors, and Silent Sports. Other book titles to his credit include Mountain Biking Chequamegon, Mountain Biking the Twin Cities, and Mountain Biking Minnesota. Steve is a graduate of Colorado State University in Natural Resources Management. His hobbies and interests, besides road racing and mountain biking, include hiking, camping, and most any other self-propelled activity. Steve and his family currently live in Minnesota and love to cross the border into the Badger State when they get a chance.

Extremely descriptive. He details every curve and hill so that you can be prepared for the terrain. You can easily decide whether to take the kids along as he rates the difficulty of every ride. You will also be able to prepare the correct amount of food fuel and water before taking your adventure.
