5.0 out of 5 stars I'm Learning French, Too!
We love this video because it seems like it is VERY easy to learn the words and phrases - for both me and my daughters. I actually heard my 3-year-old repeating some of the words to her dolls after just a couple of viewings! 2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
My husband is French (I'm American), and we're trying to raise our daughter to be bilingual. I purchased this video hoping it would support us in our efforts. I was disappointed by the pronunciation which is obviously non-native. (Incorrect pronunciation of "lait" is the most ear-catching. Others include "s'il vous plait" and "pousser.")...

I like the woman's voice, and the video pictures make it extremely easy to pick up on what the word or sentence means, even though you only hear French. MUCH better than cartoons and singing puppets - this video shows real kids, real animals, etc. Easy on the ears, easy on the eyes, and most importantly, easy for my kids to learn!!

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm ordering Spanish also!, November 26, 2000

I play this tape for my 18 month old once a week while he is playing. He stops to look at the bright pictures that he is interested in. Will start dancing to the music playing in the background,(which I wish was alittle louder). I'm going to order Spanish also. Good company, had defective tape and they replaced it in 3 days.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better French Please, August 31, 2001

This video is my 21mos' favorite right now.He loves the actual faces of other kids doing things. There is no animation which makes it great for little ones. The music is soothing and not annoying as in some other videos. The images are bright and interesting. The only drawback to this video is the spoken words. The pronunciation on some words is way wrong. I speak French fluently so I notice things like that. Was I the only one?

My husband is French (I'm American), and we're trying to raise our daughter to be bilingual. I purchased this video hoping it would support us in our efforts. I was disappointed by the pronunciation which is obviously non-native. (Incorrect pronunciation of "lait" is the most ear-catching. Others include "s'il vous plait" and "pousser.") The intonation isn't much better, and there are errors in both vocabulary and agreement (une chemise bleu lacks an "e" on the end). Despite my annoyance with all of those things, my daughter loves the video and asks to see it all the time.

5.0 out of 5 stars good stuff!, February 14, 2001

This is a very nicely done, smartly designed video which my 2.5 year old daughter loved watching until the end (45 minutes) despite this being almost her first video experience. The pronounciation is excellent (neutral as advertised), which is not always the case in some other videos I have seen. Too bad they have only one volume in French!
