I bought this WHS, when my daughter was 1 year old. Next week she will be 3 and she knows all the words from the video. She watches it max. twice a month. It is like a vocabulary builder, simple, clear and understandable. I teaches more languages for my daughter and however I have only this video and 2 cd-s to teach russian, it is more effective than dozens of spanish or french materials. The video does not use ciril letters and it can cause dissatisfaction for native russian speaker parents (but not for the kids :-).

We're adopting a baby from Russia & want to teach him as much Russian as possible. He hasn't arrived yet, but we've previewed the video. It really seems great!! It shows a word & then illustrates it (i.e., "boy"...then shows different ages of boys while repeating the word....in the corner at one point, the word "boy" in english will appear for parents to understand what exactly the word is). There is also a little paper guide to go along with it. We're looking forward to using it with our son!! :)
