This book is an amazing piece of nostalgia. It is well-written, funny, and provides a great many details about one of America's best-loved shows. The book gives you a real feeling for the atmosphere in which the early situation comedies were produced. It brought back many wonderful memories and I loved it!

Mickey Freeman's book on the Bilko show starring Phil Silvers was terrific - it was informative while being
funny as well as sorrowful on a few occasions.I was familiar with most of the episodes. but truly was interested in one of the main characters' perspectives and insights on the show. I also wanted to have a nostalgic look at my favorite comedy series of all by reliving all the comedic moments, and this was certainly achieved. Mr. Freeman's humorous mind and anecdotes were a superb highlight. As an aside, I inadvertently erased a previous e-mail from Amazon, but wanted to thank you for the very prompt and efficient manner in which the book was delivered to me, as well as the large print edition which made it easy on the eyes.
