Danny Thomas sitcom spinoff, THE BILL DANA SHOW ran from 9/22/63 to 1/17/65 on the NBC-TV network. In it, Dana's famous Mexican immigrant character Jose Jimenez is a bellhop in NYC's Park Central Hotel. He has a single room and also eats in the hotel. Regular cast members included Jonathan Harris (Dr. Zachary Smith of "Lost in Space") as Mr. Phillips the hotel manager, Gary Crosby (Bing's son) as a bellhop and Don Adams (Maxwell Smart on "Get Smart") as Glick the house detective. Episodes were directed by Sidney Sheldon, creator of "I Dream of Jeannie" and "Gilligan's Island."
