While you're deciding regarding the purchase of this video, please let me say that everyone will want to hear what Jeff Allen has to say along with, "Daddy Cut My Hair", it's not hoky, it's precious.

This video is one of the best video's that has been performed. The more video's Bill Gaither puts out, the better they get. I can't get enough of the songs "My Name is Lazarus" by Greater Vision and "A House of Gold" by Mark Lowry, Guy Penrod, David Phelps and Michael English. I enjoy the harmony in these upbeat songs and in the other songs on the video. They put a joy in my heart and a dance in my feet. After watching the video, you will feel good all over. Well done Bill Gaither and the Homecoming Friends.

Filmed at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis, Indiana "Harmony in the Heartland" got started on a sentimental note featuring Jake Hess with the Homecoming Friends singing "Thanks for the Sunshine." I enjoyed the follow up song "Get on the Happy Side featuring Glenn Payne, Rex Nelon, Terry Blackwood, and Jeanne Johnson.

Since the program theme was "Harmony" most of the numbers featured a blending of the voices of various combinations from the Homecoming Friends. Greater Vision was featured singing "My Name is Lazarus" and The Dove Brothers sang "Get Away Jordan."

My favorite numbers include: "Born Again" featuring Evie Karlsson, "What Belongs to You" as sung by Amy (Gaither) Hayes, and "He Will Remember Me" featuring Squire Parsons and Lillie Knauls."

I laughed with an appreciative audience at Jeff Allen's comedy sketch and was genuinely touched by the sincerity of his closing remarks. I was also moved by Michael Kelly Blanchard's presentation of "Daddy Cut My Hair."

Among of the many featured guest artists were: Sue Dodge, Karen Wheaton, Lily Weatherford, Ladyelove Smith, Jeff and Sheri Easter, Charlotte Ritchie, Jesse Dixon, Joy Gardner, Mark Lowry, Michael English, Guy Penrod, and David Phelps.,

Although I enjoyed the harmony which featured a broad spectrum of artist combinations, I missed something of the sense of worship and awe that I usually experience in the Gaither Gospel Series of recorded concerts. That said, I know I'll be watching it again, and again, humming along with the harmony, the words, and the obvious enjoyment of the love and fellowship created by this combination of Homecoming Friends.
