I believe a good Karaoke disc must contain well-played music. It's because beautiful music will make you want to sing and dance. I bought one pack of CD-G with the title "Billboard top 10 Karaoke" and another Karaoke DVD, all made by the same company called partytyme karaoke from the local Walmart. The music is poorly performed. They're not close to the one played by the original band. I can tell they're peformed by amateurs whose music skills are below average.

There are companies that make very good CD+G and DVD karaoke dics such as Pocket songs, Chartbuster, Priddis, Sunfly, Zoom, etc. When you listen to these discs, you just want to sing and dance because the music is so close to the one played by origninal artists.

The trouble is Amazon does not carry these brands. Why? I don't know. However, you can buy them from on-line stores such as dbkaraoke dot com. Their service is quick and user-friendly especially when you're asking questions. The best store, I believe is singerschoice dot ca. They're in Toronto, Canada. Their collection is huge. They have dics imported from Britain too! When I travelled there, I found out they let their customers LISTEN to ALL the dics BEFORE BUYING. As a result, I am completely satisfied with all the 10 discs I bought. I've never seen a store like that before.

I gave the same review for the other Billboard karaoke music. The music is not the original artists but is music "made famous by the original artist" and is only evident once you read the fine print. It seems a bit dishonest to use the Billboard Top 10 as a selling vehicle. I rated the item a 4 because the music is ok and after all it is Karaoke. Worst of all is the price--I found these at Walmart for $30.

Hook this up for the nephews and nieces during family get-togethers. Planning to get the other volumes as well. Works great through my player (KaraFun for PC) and having both tracks with and without vocals helps the beginners and/or children sing along.

The kids got Volume 1 last year and Volume 2 this year. Great series, with vocal versions as tracks 11-20 on each CD. "I'm Too sexy" was a big hit with the kids, and their dad and I rocked out on the 80s and early 90s tracks. Lots of fun.

From the descriptions, I thought the songs were from the original artists. They are NOT. Furthermore, the thing won't play on the SInging Machine. I don't know if the fault is with the Singing Machine or with the CDs. but I am returning the CDs!!

Karaoke is for fun.... Yes, this is not exactly like the songs on the radio... the graphics are really good and follow perfectly, the music is spot on and the variety is really good also. I have purchased volume one to add to my collection and am excited to get it. I have had so much fun with my adult daughters, their friends, and grandchildren.

We got an inexpensive karaoke machine for Christmas and ordered the Top 10 Billboard Karaoke Cd's Vol 1 through 4 and have enjoyed them all. As in the description the vocals are not the original artists but for singing they are pretty good. We are not doing the instrumental versions yet but enjoy the vocals. The variety of songs is excellent. It is nice to have Cd's that everyone can enjoy some songs to sing with them. The words show on the screen and have always been in sync with the music. Also included are the words on paper to each song. The print is small but it is included.

If you are looking for Karaoke music for people with mixed tastes in music I would recommend these cd's. You can hear clips of all the songs here on Amazon before buying so you can determine for yourself if the vocalists are satisfactory.

The CDGs worked and a silly, happy time is had by all when they come out. One star was dropped for the distinct lack of hip hop, R+B, etc, which displeased my sisters. They got over it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this CD set of Karaoke music. This is a nice diversity of music from several decades running the gamut of multiple musical genres. There is even background singing at the
appropriate parts of the songs to allow for a "real life" experience. The words are easily read, and highlighted to help you sing the song.
I have truly enjoyed this set and recommend it for every karaoke lover.

I think this is a great karaoke package. I hate that I always have to buy several single C.D.'s just to get one good song on one, then another one or two good songs on another c.d. This package has a good variety for everyone and the price was right. I don't think that it is that big of a deal that the original artists are not the actual singers because we generally sing over them anyway, which is pretty much the idea of karaoke anyway! I would recommend it, have FUN!!
