Missing Major Songs.,
By "gibraud" (Braintree, MA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Billboard Top Hits: 1991 (Audio CD)
This collection is missing major songs in it. Such as Bryan Adams "Everything I Do(I Do It For You)", Michael Jackson's "Black Or White" or Paula Abdul's "Rush Rush". Otherwise this collection is good overview of 1991. 1991 was a strange year in music especially how 1980s it really was and how the 1980s look and sound lasted longer than you think it did.

Good overview of 1991,
This review is from: Billboard Top Hits: 1991 (Audio CD)
Having all the Billboard Top Hits from the 80's i thought i'd delve into the 90's series and plumped for 1991 as it contained a few songs i knew and a few i didn't so i thought why not?Despite American and British musical tastes seeming to head in different directions in the 90's this CD seems to capture the best of both worlds with a good variety of pop songs from 91. With memorable songs like EMF's roaring Unbelievable, The KLF's 3AM Eternal and the beautiful More Than Words by Extreme this CD does contain quality songs. I also like I Like The Way and Right Here, Right Now quite a lot. My only criticism is that in this day and age is a CD with only 10 songs really going to do as the Now series features 18 or 19. There is nothing wrong with what is here, its excellent actually but a few more songs would have made it a much better buy.

I loved most of the songs on this album. However, there was one song that left out. "Everything I Do I Do It For You" was surprisingly not included in it! Why? It was the number one song of that entire year.

It's not bad. 1991 had so many hit songs and I am surprised they managed to squeeze 10 in here. I'm glad they included "Hold You Tight" and "3 AM Eternal". Another good one from Joel Whitburn and the Rhino gang.
