Well Written, Recommended for those unfamiliar with Billie Holiday,

This review is from: Billie Holiday: A Biography (Greenwood Biographies) (Hardcover)
As the title of my review states, the book is well written. I would suggest it for high school students or those unfamiliar with Billie Holiday and her life and times.
For me it was too short and most of the material I was familiar with from reading the many other books available that I've read about Miss Holiday. It was way overpriced for the length but it was refreshing to receive a book with a very sturdy hard cover! Definitely a good book for a fast read!

Billie Holiday's Life Really not a Holiday...,
By Kendalene Markston "Grateful Movie Locator" (Lebanon, New Jersey United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Billie Holiday: A Biography (Greenwood Biographies) (Hardcover)
One-of-a-kind Billie Holiday. Unique, talented singer...joy/love (and sought-after love) in her life, predjudice, hard beginnings and upbringing. Hardships that never seemed to end and bring her true peace. I'm now middle-age but discovered and fell in love with her musical talent and found some identity with her in my early twenties. She was so gifted...I'm grateful to listen to her music and read about her life. I recommend the book to anyone, especially Billie Holiday fans.
