If you are a jazz vocal fan this is a must. I rarely buy complete recording box sets because they have bad takes and a bunch of junk on them. I was so tempted by this set because I had heard about Billy and Lester Young togehter. I was so please by every take and every song.Each take is great. These two had one of those rare musical matches that is in a league of its own. Billy's voice is perfectly complenented by Lesters smooth playing. This is music of beautiful sutelity and melody. The music sounds simple until you really listen. Beautiful music sounds joyous and effortless, but takes the effort and soul that these two expressed on the set. A must buy for Billy Holiday Fans. LEster is great but Billy takes the lead. If you are looking for pure Lester young this is good but not everything you are looking for. One last note really great version of FINE AND MELLOW
