Fantastic Sugar,

I Love this Sugar. All it is is pure natural cane sugar. It is sooooo delicious in my daily cup of hot tea, with cream, each morning! It makes for a sweet, 'caramelly' flavour and the price is excellent - not expensive like so many of the other fancy import sugars that are dry and tasteless. Just ordered a case!

This the best possible addition to a great cup of coffee if you add sugar to the cup. Super product for all 'best in show' sugar uses.

[...].
The sugar crystals are large and golden brown. I understand the brown color is the actual molasses on each crystal. The crystals take a little longer to disolve but well worth the wait. The sugar bowl is now a conversation piece...........Sam Suratt N.Palm Beach FL.

Great alternative to pearl sugar,

I use Billingtons sugar crystals as a substitute for pearl sugar in Liege waffles. They provide a hint of molasses, dissolve minimally in the dough but caramelize nicely once they hit the waffle iron, and the ones that don't melt or caramelize hang around to give a nice crunch. Just use regular granulated sugar in the dough and roll the dough ball in Billingtons just before you put it into the waffle iron.

This sugar is soooo good with coffee (Stumptown for me)-- It may be one of the reasons I choose coffee to drink in the morning. The flavor is deep and sweet, and positively magical with good coffee.

This sugar by itself has a honey smell and flavor. It will alter the taste of your tea which may or may not be a bad thing according to you own personal preference. I was looking for an alternative to Teavana's rock sugar and this one is not it. We do enjoy it with some teas but stick to the rock sugar for others. Overall a great supplement in my tea cabinet.

I bought this sugar thinking it was natural rock sugar but it is much smaller but tastes very good.Doesn't oversweeten like sugar and looks much better to serve.

Frere Dean,

While I enjoy demerara sugar for my tea, whole grain cereals, and cafe' au lait, I always reach for Billington's Sugar Crystals for my stronger drinks -- Turkish coffee, cafe cubano, and bold espresso. The rich molasses flavor gives these coffees a sweetness that stands up to the full flavor and slight bitterness in the cup. There is no syrup-sweetness like you might get from refined white sugar. The subtle accents in Billington's combines with the chocolate hints of good espresso and turkish coffee beans to create a wonderful "mocha" taste. Highly recommended.
