5.0 out of 5 stars best sugar ever!
By far, this is the best sugar I've ever tasted! I have been ordering this sugar for a long time, and I, and everyone who's ever used it in my house, has raved about its taste! I also like the fact that it is much healthier than the refined sugars out there. So, if you want to do something healthy for yourself, and have a great tasting sugar to boot, buy it. You won't...

1.0 out of 5 stars Thanks for the bricks
Disappointed!! These ten little bricks, used from a previous review, are cumbersome to use because they are solidified from moisture. They are not worth the trouble. Yes... I am so disappointed.

This is the cheapest I've found for natural cane sugar. We used it in all of our baking for Christmas cookies, muffins, etc. Much better for you than the refined white sugar. Yummy stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buying Hawaii by the Pound, February 7, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Billington's Natural Milled Golden Cane Sugar, 16-Ounce Bags (Pack of 10) (Grocery)
WOW! This is the best evaporated cane sugar I've ever tasted & I've been fussily using less refined sugars for 5-7 years now, (too buzzed on sugar to recall exactly). When I place a dab on my tongue it seems to me it tastes exactly like the raw cane sugar stalks I & everyone I grew up with, eagerly awaited the seasonal arrival of at the local Grocery.
At most Groceries Billington's is a bit pricey, usually running $3-4 a pound. With Amazon bulk pricing & Free Shipping if you spend $25 the price is highly reasonable. I can do better perhaps on a few brands. But then I've realized this sugar goes farther as less is needed for the same level of sweetness. I think I use about 20% less = 20% savings.
I was always told that cane sugar is sweeter then beet sugar & this certainly bears that out.
I've also used Billington's Light & Dark Brown Sugars for hot cereals & find them also without equal. If you like fancy sweeteners you can't go wrong & the amount used actually pulls this in line w. the best prices available. Highly Recommended. Be sure & taste a little on your tongue, its Hawaiian sunshine!

I bought this based on another review because I was trying to break the Splenda habit. I really like it and it seems to quell my sweet tooth, too. I drink a lot of hot tea and it works wonderfully no matter what flavor of tea I choose.

4.0 out of 5 stars Natural Sugar Treat, August 6, 2011

I don't use sugar that much but when I do I like GOOD sugar and this is one of the best. I bought this in October, 2009 and recently pulled out a couple pounds from the pantry to put in the kitchen canister and they were BRICKS. They did not arrive that way. I was annoyed so beating them with the mallet was a pleasure. I'd be on the Customer Service Line if they were unusable, this ran about 2 bucks and a half a pound - expensive when unusable. Another option that's pretty good is Florida Crystals Natural Sugar, Milled Cane, 48-Ounce Jug (Pack of 2)But it has clumps and lumps that need busting no bricks.

My body doesn't handle artificial sweeteners or High Fructose Corn Syrup well, does a passable job with beet sugar, so I do search out cane sugar especially Natural Milled Cane Sugar.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad to build a house with, February 6, 2009

The sugar tastes great; however, mine arrived in a state I can only compare to hardened cement. Thankfully, I have a kitchen mallet, and after putting the sugar bricks into a plastic storage bag and beating the smack out of the packages, was able to pour it into my sugar container. (It was still lumpy.) Since I live in an extremely dry climate, I don't think the product became brick-like upon arriving. It must have gotten some moisture in transit. So, if yours arrives still granulated, you'll probably be pleased... with the sugar anyway. Much to my shagrin, after I ordered it, I found some organic sugars on Amazon that are less expensive and arrive in perfect condition in nice little resealable bags. So maybe you should keep looking?
