This love story is based on a high school crush between teenagers from different sides of the proverbial 'track' which goes awry.Years after, Nick and Brooke reconnect emotionally and physically after an automobile accident . Nick inadvertently rescues and cares for Leah, Brooke's five month old baby, from the accident while Brooke recuperates in the hospital overnight. From this point, Nick gradually realizes that Brooke is the 'one' that got away and he falls in love with both her and Leah.

The plot is complicated by several factors such as Nick's father's recent death, Brooke's deceitful, philandering, money grabbing husband. Also Brooke's recently inherited dead Aunt's house soon to be a B & B and Nick's dislike of his father's Napa Valley winery that was the cause of his lost baseball career, these factors, all make this tale interesting. You fall into these characters and admire their strengths as well as their weaknesses. You revel and celebrate with them, their joys and growing love for each other. From start to finish, this book steals your heart and grabs your attention. A must read third book in this trilogy!

The highway collision had brought togather more than their two vehicle. Suddenly buisinessman Nick Carlino was face to face with a woman from his past and her five month old baby. Though they hadn't seen each other in years Nick offered Brooke Hamilton and her child shelter after the crash. This was a very interesting book.

This is the final book in the Napa Valley series. Great characters in this story that brings a twist to a reunion story. Nick is a reluctant hero who is deteermined not to fall for mother and baby. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end - and was cheering Brooke on for standing up for herself and protecting her baby and her own heart. A great ending to the Napa Valley books.
