Enoch's contemporary tales of the billionaire playboy and his cat burglar girlfriend were a wonderful premise and were sustained well through the first two books. This is the 3rd book in a series.
In this book Sam and Rick are in New York. Sam is still itching for the excitement that her former life as a cat burgalar provided. Rick is still making multi million dollar deals.
Rick receives an invite to a Sotheby's auction. Sam thinks it'll be a kick to be there when she is not robbing the place. She notices a familiar figure interested in the same painting Rick buys, her father. Only problem is her father died 3 years ago in prison. She passes him a note asking him to meet her later. While Sam is waiting for her father, who never shows, someone steals that painting from Rick and Sams house. All fingers point to Sam and the trouble starts there...
This is another wonderful story with Sam and Rick. I like how Rick and Sam work together. They are the ultimate odd couple, but it works. They have so much chemistry. They are an excellent team. This book has witty humor, mystery, action, sex and romance. It has everything. A fun read. I can't wait for the next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sam & Rick are still HOT!, November 21, 2006
This review is from: Billionaires Prefer Blondes (Mass Market Paperback)
Samantha Jellicoe is content, if not happy in her new career of security consulting. While she'd much rather be breaking into houses rather than protecting them, Sam is beginning to realize that she'll do just about anything to stay with Rick Addison. Though it has only been five months since they met, Sam can't imagine life without him. When Sam's dead father, renowned thief Martin Jellicoe comes back from the dead, Sam knows that it can't be good.

Rick Addison will do whatever it takes to hold onto Sam. Even let her practice breaking into their house. When they travel to New York where Rick is trying to buy a hotel, the last thing that Rick expects is to be pulled back into the shadowy world in which he first found Sam.

This book is so well written that you won't wan to put it down until the end. The relationship between Rick and Sam is extremely entertaining. Rick is determined to keep Sam honest while Sam is determined to stay honest, but not too honest. When you bring in Martin Jellicoe, Stoney, plus a bunch of thieves, Sam and Rick have their work cut out for them. Humorous at times, emotional at times, Suzanne Enoch really has a winner in this third installment of the series.

Enoch's contemporary tales of the billionaire playboy and his cat burglar girlfriend were a wonderful premise and were sustained well through the first two books. While still showing that she uses the language far better and with richer variety in a contemporary than in her historical novels, she is beginning to stretch the premise of Samantha's ability to function in both worlds. How many people, both legal and criminal, are going to be allowed to know her secret before it becomes totally unbelievable? The worlds portrayed are enticing, and far out of most readers' reach; her knowledge of the art world is respectable, if very exaggerated. But, this series, like most American television, shows the distressing tendency not to know when to tie up the ends and bring a story to a close before you need to "jump the shark." I sense a revving of the motorcycle in the background. What's next otherwise? Saving the Crown Jewels?

4.0 out of 5 stars Third Time Is Still Charming!, January 22, 2007

This review is from: Billionaires Prefer Blondes (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the third in her series that follows slightly "retired" cat burglar Samantha Jellicoe and hot billionaire Rick Addison. I've always liked Enoch's historicals but I fell in love with Sam and Rick and have eagerly read each new book about them (if you haven't read Flirting with Danger and Don't Look Down yet, why not?)

I like that Enoch gave us some more of Sam and Rick and how they're attempting to fit themselves into a relationship they were both clearly not expecting. Neither is perfect and there are moments in each book where you want to smack the heck out of one or the other of them.

The secondary characters are wonderful (Stoney is one of my favorites ever) and the overall story is clever and has a little bit of a twist.

BPB is quick, the chemistry between Sam and Rick is believable and very well done and the romance is realistic (to a point, we are talking billionaires and cat burglars here, LOL) in how two people who have been very independent fit another person into their life. I can't wait to see what's next for these two.

Billionaires Prefer Blondes by Suzanne Enoch is another adventure of Samantha Jellicoe and Rick Addison. This is the third book of the series -you can read them out of order but why not read them all -- They are are great. Samantha Jellicoe is ex-art-thief and Rick Addison is a British multibillionaire. In this book they have been together for five months and even through life and death adventures they are still together an amazing feat on both of their parts. Check out the whole series Don't Look Down and Flirting with Danger.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good addition to the series..., May 4, 2010

This review is from: Billionaires Prefer Blondes (Mass Market Paperback)
I enjoyed this addition to the series. The plot was well-paced, and I liked that Sam (and Rick) are finally dealing with the fact that Sam needs more in her "professional life" than just being a security consultant. The story did lack some tension, though. I think it was because their relationship didn't seem to progress as much - it was too similar to the last book's (and the 1st book's) "I don't want to lose her" angst. I did like the plot, though, and the action was able to overcome the lack of tension, for the most part. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Suzanne Enoch Pens Another Winning Premise With Heat!, November 11, 2006

Take one sexy female thief and mix in a dashing British gentleman. Then stir in adventure. Add a nice heavy helping of sex and you got one hot premise called BILLIONAIRES PREFER BLONDES!

Samantha Jellicoe is a retired cat burglar. From the time that she fell into the sexually intense relationship with British Billionaire, Richard Addison, she has stayed on the straight and narrow. Just when she thinks her life is going good, a ghost from her past will turn her rich lifestyle upside down! The only problem is, Richard will find himself knee deep in Samantha's troubles. How will they get out of this mess without ripping their love apart?

BILLIONAIRES PREFER BLONDES is by acclaimed authoress Suzanne Enoch. Ms. Enoch's historical voice switches gears into this heady contemporary novel. In one evening this reviewer ate this novel up. This book showcases Ms. Enoch's talent for crafting inspiring characters that are realistic and lovable. The dialogues are natural and fit the character's personalities perfectly.

Ms. Enoch's writing is the epitome of brilliance wrapped up in words...

Samantha is an extremely smart woman. She is honest with herself and knows her faults. Did she used to steal from the rich, yes, but even then, she had her limits on what she would and would not steal. Yes, she did bad things at one time, yet you find forgiveness in everything she says and does. Her relationship with Richard is special. He knows everything about Samantha and finds her completely fascinating and beautiful. Their sexual relationship is enough to light the pages on fire. When a threat enters their world, it will test the very bonds that bind their lives. What will happen?

If you love the creative and erotic pen Ms. Enoch brandishes so well, you will not be disappointed with BILLIONAIRES PREFER BLONDES. This reviewer recommends this contemporary love story!

3.0 out of 5 stars Losing Stream and tired of it, November 20, 2007

I love the first book. The second is not bad either. However it should've stop there and enough is enough. But the third? A lot more of the same as book 1 and book 2. Their adventure is still ok but the continuing hot steaming relationship between Sam and Rick is not convincing to me anymore. I'm losing interest and patience. I find it hard to believe how a billionaires like Rick can put up with such marathon exhaustion of chronic anxiety worrying about Sam's going to run away.

The dialogues between Sam and Rick are also more of the same.

If you haven't read book 1 and book 2, this book will be interesting to you. But if you already read 1 and 2..... it may not be that interesting. I skipped half of the book.
