5.0 out of 5 stars RealReader, August 31, 2010

The Billionaire's Pregnant Mistress This book was fantastic from start to end and worth every dollar. The author understands the heart of a romance reader and MADE sure every question was answered. I had only one tiny quarrel with the writer and it was the tidbit in which the hero had Xandra kicked out of the apartment by his managers and that act orchestrated by him crossed the line between pain and lacking character and you never want to question the hero's character. The writer was able to salvage this with all of the remorse and explanations and did an amazing job--but even on his worst day it would have been a better if the breakup scene was modified differently so that the hero looked like he wasn't capable of EVER doing anything like that to her no matter what. If the writer insisted on haing him kick her out, then we needed more pain coming from the hero at that point. For ex: If tears sprung into the hero's eyes when he denied it was his baby--that would have helped since it would have shown how hurt he was at what he perceived to be her betrayal. The writer made up for it later with all of the explanations, but as a result of doing that got dangerously close to overkill. She pulled it off though. In general i must state: I have literally read hundreds of harlequin's and this is one of the best. I give the book five stars and encourage any reader to absolutely buy it--it does not disappoint.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it!, August 28, 2010
Although I generally like many of the harlequin novels, I tend to forget some of them unless if I quickly flick through the novel again. This story isn't one of them! Dimitri gives up Xandra as he's expected to marry, but little does he know that Xandra is actually pregnant with his child and genuinely in love with him even though she barely shows it. He breaks up with her before she has a chance to tell him that she's pregnant so she changes her name back to her original name (Xandra Fortune is her model name) and moves back to her home town. Without giving too much of the storyline away, he goes looking for her once he finds out she's pregnant. She's got a backbone and I love her! He's your typical alpha male but at the same time you can tell that he cares a lot about her. I loved this book, it was well worth my money!

4.0 out of 5 stars Feasted On: The Billionaire's Pregnant Mistress by Lucy Monroe, January 12, 2012

4 out of 5 stars!! Charming and enjoyable from beginning to end!!! The relationship between the main characters is palpable, they have such duty to their families that when all these things hit them at once they don't know how to behave so they do anything to find the control they both loose instantly. I enjoyed reading about such passionate and prideful people ... as soon as I started the story I didn't want to put it down!

I thought this book was so sweet. I literally would read anything that Miss. Monroe writes. She is brilliant in making HP books have dimension and complexity. Fabulous read--- a sinfully delicious read:-)

5.0 out of 5 stars I would reread this one . . ., November 22, 2011
***CAUTION SPOILERS***

Alexandra Dupree has been living as a fashion model, Xandra Fortune, for the past six years to support her mother and younger sister. She has to keep their connection on the low down so of course her "lover" Dimitri Petronides doesn't know who she really is. He believes he does though and he believes she is career oriented and that she will move on quickly from him when he has to give her up to marry a woman his grandfather is blackmailing him into marrying.

Xandra is heartbroken when Dimitri breaks it off, but she still tells Dimitri that she is pregnant w/ his child. But because Xandra didn't fill him in on her real persona he thinks there is OM involved and doesn't believe that the child is his. Dimitri has been forced to marry OW because of his love for his grandfather, but he didn't really want to give Xandra up. He does of course and when he kicked her out of the apartment it broke more than Xandra's heart. Dimitri of course has been searching for her, yet he hasn't been able to locate her even though he has employed P.I.'s in his search. She did place one phone call to their old apartment, but that was answered by a Mrs. Petronides and Alexandra didn't stay on the line to hear any explanations.

This was an amazing story and I liked the fact that Alexandra picked herself up . . . somewhat . . . as best as she could and fell off the radar resuming her true identity. Dimitri truly seemed to hurt for what he had done to Xandra/Alexandra, but there were repercussions that even he didn't foresee because of his actions. He truly believed that he could come back on the scene, ask her to marry him, and they could resume where they had left off. Nope, didn't work that way. The chemistry was still there, but the pain had to be worked through and Alexandra doesn't trust him the way she did before. Dimitri was quick to believe that she had other lovers because of her frequent no explanation trips elsewhere and the fact that his mother had other lovers too. Alexandra's mother's love seemed to be conditional and she is still around so you can actually see how this woman impacted her life and also contributed to Alexandra keeping things from Dimitri. I liked their admission of unconditional love in the end, the willingness to let it cover the pain of the past and move on to their future. This book had it all: angst, great characters, chemistry, love, angst, heartbreak, and second chances. My one question though: why did he wait so long to re-give her that piece of jewelry that she left behind in the beginning. He didn't give it to her again until their second Christmas together BTW we didn't really get to read about the first one.

4.0 out of 5 stars One of my New Favorites, November 15, 2011

Ahhh Dimitri...what a typical hard headed male. But thats Harlequin for you.

I really liked this story following French model Xandra/Alexandra while she tried to heal from the abrupt dumping by her Tycoon live-in boyfriend Dimitri, he told her he was getting married, just not to her. And even the fact that she was pregnant hadn't changed his mind.

Three months later, after days of searching for her, Dimitri finds her in NY living with her sister and uses his seductive charms to get her back, not just into his bed, but back into his life. He will marry the mother of his unborn son, and that is final. It is more romantic than it sounds....One of my New Favorites.

You definitely need to read this beautiful tale of love lost, found and renewed.

5.0 out of 5 stars great story, September 26, 2011

I enjoyed this book so much I stayed up far to late (or I should say early) cause I could not put it down. It was really good. I loved that Alexandra was a beautiful model, but walked away without having any regrets and that Dimitri was this strong alpha male. He did a couple of crappy things but he made up for them and she was great. I would recomend to anyone that this is worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lucy Monroe is great as usual, January 9, 2011
I think I have read all of Ms. Monroe's Kindle books, and I have to say I also have probably re-read most of the ones I have at least once. This was no exception. Enjoy...
