From page 245 "Billy Bitzer, His Story": "Against the opposition of the Hollywood producers, Billy Bitzer in 1926 founded the International Photographers of the Motion Picture Industries (IPMPI), of which he was twice president, and he was proud of his honorary life membership in local 644 IATSE". If you are interested in cameramen who pioneered the motion picture industry read Mr. Bitzer's book.
