Billy Blanks: Tae Bo Freestyle Funk

I've used other Tae Bo workouts (first Bootcamp series + others) and this was not much of a challenge in comparrison. My wife finds this ok as a change of pace.
If all you do are his tapes/dvds then this is probably a nice change up from his more strenous material. If you are looking for a hard workout this is not likely for you.

I was excited to know that billy blanks had a new cd. I ordered the cd thinking that it would be like his other high energy exercise cds. I was sadly disappointed. This cd is more fluff and not enough exercise. You will not get your heart rate up on this one. I have been a follower of Tae Bo for over 10 years and I just expect more from him than some slow motion moves that do not resemble any exercise I have ever seen.

I have been doing Tae Bo for nine years, ever since Billy released his first set of tapes. That being said, this is a very poor DVD. Like other people have said, there is not much cardio involved and even though I was sweating when I was done I hardly felt like I got much of a workout like I do with his other DVDs.

Billy says in the beginning that this is supposed to be a fun and kind of loose workout unlike his other DVDs and is not supposed to be as strenuous. Well, it is not strenuous but some of the moves are so hard even Shelly (Billy's super buff daughter, who can do all of his moves with the greatest of ease) and Julianne (another lady who is in all the DVDs and has great fluidity like Shelly) have trouble with them. Half of the people in the background of the DVD seemed as confused as I was and had trouble with the moves. I consider myself in reasonably good shape but I think some of these moves were just begging for injuries.

I was lucky enough that I rented this instead of buying it and I will continue to love Tae Bo but I will not be forking out $14 for this terrible un-fun workout.

TO DATE I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY PRODUCT, OR AN EXPLANATION. I WAS TOLD THAT THE ORDER WOULD BE DELIVERED BY 8/7/09 AT THE LATEST.I HAVE SUBMITTED MY PHONE NUMBER AND STILL NOTHING! IS THIS WHAT YOU CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!
