this is one of my favourite songs on the album, its just so feel good, the type of song that you can just dance to in your room and not care if anybody is watching. Its true, alot of people say if you like Manson etc, you'll like MK, its not necessarily true, i happen to be a huge fan of both, but even if you dont like Manson, and its too hardcore for ya, then yes, you probably will like MK, its just catchy feel-good music.its up to the individual whether you like it, just dont bitch abut how its not Manson and appreciate it !! :D I would definalety recomend it though.

This EP from Australian singer songwriter Mandy Kane is his second release since signing to a major label. Based on the fictional character Billy Bones, this concept EP is an interesting look into the creative process Mandy undertakes. The title track is a heavily riff based homage to blowing things up, an anthem for teenage rebellion in some ways, telling the story of pyrotechnic genius Billy Bones. The EP also has some notable b-sides including the live favourite Mayday and an acoustic version of his first hit single Stab. All in all it is worth the price and despite being flawed it is a good indication of what is yet to come from this talented young man.

I have to admit that I don't agree with the person who said fans of the likes of marilyn manson and nine inch nails will like mandy kane. i don't see it -- maybe if trent reznor decided to release a really pop album, yeah, okay, then *maybe*. but, f'instance, in melbourne, mandy kane supported marilyn manson and most manson fans i talked to after the show bitched about how 'pop' mandy kane is [i see the irony in that]. it's true -- he is a pop act. but he makes no false pretences about this fact and he is a *good* pop act. his music sounds not unlike the gary numan of late, although he seems to have more of a depeche mode influence going on. mandy kane has a very 1980s synth feel attached to his music in general. he also lists among his influences david bowie -- particularly 70s bowie -- which i can also sorta see.

"Billy Bones" is a good song about mandy kane's fictional alter ego -- as mandy kane has stated, reality is lame and he likes to avoid it. it's catchy, although not quite as good as his debut single "stab". the acoustic version of "stab" the appears on here is also interesting. i'd recommend this to anyone who would be interested in trent reznor if he did decide to do that pop album... it's good, really. really good, even...
