Billy Elliot encompasses the range of human emotions, a significant period in modern history, cultural accuracy, music, ballet and a triumphant ending. The actors are extraordinary, especially the 11 year old lead actor. I saw Billy Elliot on television recently and was so moved by it that I ordered it on Amazon. It the first movie I have not only wanted to see more than once, but actually purchased the DVD. Of everyone I know who has seen this film, they all absolutely loved it.

Growing up trying to pursue your Passion when you have no one supporting you, can be frustrating, if that is Dancing in a Male "Macho" Orientated Society it could get you in a lot of trouble, and it gets worse if your Father is a Bully, in the Coal-mining Business and out on Strike!...Well, you have All the Ingredients for a very Cruel Environment

That the Premise for "Billy Elliot" an eleven year old Smarty, Sharp, Proud, Independent boy with a Wisecrack Grin, Dancing his little Heart out straight up to the Top in search of his Dream, with the help of his determine Militant Heavy Smoker Ballet Teacher and followed by a Captivating Group of Characters, Billy will Prance and Dance all the way to your Heart

Not only I was Entertained by all the Vigorous Dancing, full of Energy, Passion and very contagious but also Amused with all the Witty dialogue of coming of Age and self Discovery that takes place and Happens with youngsters

I Related with Billy and I was Emotionally Involved, Rooting for Him...I wanted this Kid to SUCCEED!...do you Understand?...by the time Billy took that Big Leap Up in the Air I had already lost it, with tearing eyes and a Huge Knot In MY THROAT!!...if you're concern about the heavy Accent from this British Import turn on the English subtitle feature on your machine so you can read the close captions and Miss Nothing!

A GREAT MOTION PICTURE NOT TO BE MISSED! BILLY ELLIOTT GIVES US A RARE OPPORTUNITY OF RECOGNIZING TALENT AT A VERY EARLY AGE. IT TEACHES US NOT TO IGNORE THIS GOD-GIVEN TALENT, BUT TO NURTURE IT TO ITS FULLEST. A TRULY REMARKABLE STORY !!!

Exceptionally good acting and display of exceptional emotion by a fourteen year old actor. Great story and will have your toe tapping and your heart urging Billy on.
