after only 5 uses, wheel snapped off of axel, was considered wear and tear, so no warranty. doesnt shred as advertised, hose attachment is a joke, you only get a couple of feet of actual hose to use because you have to keep the hose fully extended or you will spend more time unclogging it than using it

I've owned my KV600SP for 3 1/2 years.
Pros: Volume of pick up; volume of bag; reliable starting
Cons: Bag; can't pick up small twigs/pine bark on driveway; loud engine

OVERALL: A good buy and a good machine. My #1 issue was dealing w/the massive volume of leaves we have, and the Billy Goat(BG) has the capability I need. :-) x2

VACUUMING: Volume of pick up is great. I have an MTD Yard Vac and the BG takes 60% less time for same volume leaves. I keep the MTD, however, because it does a much better job picking up small stuff from the driveway. The BG height adjustment doesn't let the nozzle get low enough to be able to pick up the small stuff.

BAG: Nice and big, great volume. BUT it tore at the seam to its base in only 2 months of weekend use!!! Store said, for warranty, I'd have to bring in the whole unit to see if I was vacuuming improper stuff. Baloney--it was from the debris hitting the side of the bag from the output nozzle!! A design deficiency. I used some button snaps and mesh from an old pool cover to repair the hole, and things have been fine since. After 3 seasons, the bag is wearing out elsewhere and will need replacing soon (at a fairly reasonable cost). Bag gets heavy when full, but, it is a big bag.

ENGINE: My unit has the B&S engine, which has a button for priming the engine. Pushed 3 times, the engine has always started with no more than 2 pulls (when I had the throttle on run...LOL). Occasionally, during warm up, the engine doesn't get enough gas and dies. I push the primer button before it dies, and it keeps the engine running. Lines/tank/carb/air & Fuel filters are clear. So, it is a mystery. Otherwise, the engine runs very well. Engine is more than a bit loud.

This is an edited review - initially, we found this leaf vacuum very easy to start. Our first use was in 50 degree weather. However, as the weather changed, the Billy Goat became increasingly difficulty to start cold. One time it took over 40 pulls - exhausting... Then it took 0ver 50 pulls. Today, 54 pulls. We called the Billy Goat help desk and a nice gentleman said that at MOST it should take 3 pulls cold. He said that we had to make sure that the choke was closed and he showed me how to confirm it. I pulled off the air cleaner and confirmed that the choke was completely closed, Now what?

Certainly not what I expected from a machine that cost this much. See the video to see what I mean.

NOTE - once warm, the Billy Goat starts with one pull. Clearly there is a problem. I am thinking of returning it.

wow this machine works great it has no choke so you have to prime it a lot in colder weather but I had no problems starting it, and
hose attachment will be very handy for spring clean up... a must buy if you tons of leafs.
