I downloaded this game so that i wouldn't have to pull out my gamecube every time i wanted to play billy hatcher, and i have to say, i was impressed with the gameplay and overall smoothness of the game. I had read reviews saying the frame rate was really bad, but it fixes itself if you adjust the screen resolution. the graphics ,in my opinion, were improved from the gamecube version. so overall I recommend this game!

This game seems to be your average 3D platformer from the late 90s/early 2000s, and for the most part it is. The gimmick is in the use of eggs for attacking and moving around. You have to find eggs (that are as big as you are) and roll them around, jump with them, and bash enemies with them. You also get to feed them fruit and hatch them into different supporting animals. This mechanic is pretty fun once you get used to having to turn around by moving left or right. If you pull straight backward to turn around you just stop and let go of the egg. It can be frustrating, but it's necessary. The story is your average kiddie save the chicken world story, but deep enough for kids. The egg rolling mechanic is complicated enough that younger kids around 5 or 6 may not be able to get the hang of it.

I was addicted to this game back when I first bought my kids a Gamecube back in 2003. We lost the console in a fire but luckily I found this game on PC. It works fine. Not sure but I think I can remember the graphics being just a little sharper on the Gamecube. It's just as much fun though. It is kind of hard playing with a keyboard, so I bought a PC game controller. Yeah, I love it that much.

As far as I can tell, the PC port of Billy Hatcher doesn't support the analog sticks on the 360 pad. Playing with the D-Pad is miserable. It's a shame, as the port seems decent otherwise, but as it is I can hardly run in a straight line none the less maneuver a 3D world. If native 360 pad support could be added it would drastically improve my rating.

This game is freakin awesome! Totally looks like a classic Sega game. The game plays great and is a good port. However if your running this game on a newer computer for example windows 8.1 with AMD A8, I experienced massive FPS drop during some parts.

This is a very good game and lots of fun. I like it better on the game cube (my brother scratched it) but I used my allowence to buy it on the computer. It is still a good game.
