Rabbi recommends this book!,
By Susan P. Schein (Philadelphia, PA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bim and Bom: A Shabbat Tale (Paperback)
As a Reconstructionist rabbi, I'm always looking for books that describe Jewish life and values in a way that is both meaningful and relevant. This book hits the mark! The story line is simple and sweet, the writing is clever and careful to be egalitarian, and the illustrations are fun. I definitely recommend this book to rabbis, Jewish educators and, of course, parents!

This is a great book for Shabbat School children, very good illustrations and a really good book. I absolutely recommend it.

This is a great book. Kar Ben has been purchased by another company which is going to republish this with new illustrations, so I can't really comment on those, but I love the text. I can't recommend it enough!
