The second edition of 'Binary Alloy Phase Diagrams' is a compilation of binary phase diagrams by T.B. Massalski et al. A supplementary volume has also been added to the three volume set as an update. This is probably the most authentic phase diagram reference for anyone working in metallic materials. Each binary system has been explained in detail, including special points in the system, crystal structure data, and references. Phase diagrams are drawn with atomic and weight percentages, mostly in the same page for direct comparison and approximate conversion. I believe that the three volume set and its supplements will be used practically for ever as a ready reference for metallurgists and materials scientists.
