Fan of Bing Books,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bing: Something for Daddy (Hardcover)
Was very impressed with the seller sending it so promptly. However, my daughter always checks the "Bing" books out at the library. We had not seen this one, and purchased it. Was cute, but did not have the flow of rhyme and content as the other Bing books. Bing Yuk, Bing Swing, and Bing Picnic still remain at the top. Purchase only if you have the other ones as the other ones will remain a treasure for your little one. Overall good purchase.

Brilliant children's book,

Why aren't these books better known in the US? My sons absolutely love the Bing Books. Dewan knows exactly how to write a book that has the right rhythm and colors to engage even the youngest child. When my younger son was a newborn and ignored most books, he enjoyed Bing. Now that he is a year and a half, he spends hours flipping through them and laughs the whole time - which is the same effect these books had on my older son.
If I were to only buy one of the Bing series, Something for Daddy would be it. My kids get such a kick out of reading about "goo" and "sparkles".

Learn from Bing,

Like all the Bing books, this story beautifully captures the exuberance of toddlerdom. Bing and his Zen master, Flop, turn a giant mess of an art project into a lovely, fridge-worthy masterpiece with the application of "goo" and "sparkles." While the house-cleaner in you may cringe at the giant trail of glitter dragged through Bing's home, how can you deny the lovely gesture of Bing's homage to Daddy? Less housework, more art!

My little boy can't get enough of Bing,

I wish Bing were as popular in America as Barney is. These books are a hoot and my son just can't get enough of them. I checked all 8 out from the library and had to end up buying them.
Bing is a bunny who interacts with his stuffed animal Flop. The books show Bing learning colors, foods, potty training, etc., all in the course of a day. Adults will enjoy the '60s vibe of the cars, houses and furniture in the books. Maybe an animated Bing show in America will make these books as popular as they deserve to be. |
