After being the obscure object of desire in Bunuel's surrealist masterpiece and the obvious object of desire in a Bond flick (which I understand she did not enjoy making), I'm sure Carole Bouquet wanted nothing better than to appear in a totally silly comedy playing second banana to a chimp and a chump (ahem), if only for comic relief. Mission accomplished! The movie will be fun to watch because La Bouquet clearly had a good time making it. She giggles delightfully, shows off her shapely figure, and lets the camera adore her angelic, luminous face. How many women can light up the screen just by showing up on the set?

I don't know enough about her career to say whether Carole Bouquet made any more comedies; I hope she did. Beautiful women are seldom given comedy to do, another notable exception being her American namesake, Carole Lombard. In any case, it's certainly not too late and I hope some clever director out there keeps that in mind.

Two caveats. The movie is dubbed and it is a DVD transfer from VHS, evidently done on the cheap, so the colors are somewhat off. It didn't spoil it for me but thought I should mention it.

I had a really good time watching this movie!! Maybe its a little old, but able to give a great entertainment!!
