A pint-sized edition of a great book,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Binky's Guide to Love (Hardcover)
Binky's Guide to Love is another great Life in Hell collection. This edition, though, is printed in a smaller format than the other books. It's about 6 inches square, as opposed to the usual 11 inch square books. It's still a little larger than the size it's run in papers, but it can still induce eye strain.
But the content is all there, and just as funny as ever. So, four-star material, dinged a point for size.

Who would have known such a strange looking rabbit charachter could be such a scholar when it comes to love! I was thouroughly impressed with Groening's portrayal of young single folk on the dating scene, and Akbar and Jeff can tell a lot about a lengthy relationship without involving gender roles. I might add that I also enjoy some of the appearances of Groening's sons, Will and Abe, for the realism they add to the humor.

Binky's Less Bitter, and he'll show you how.,

This indeed is a sort-of-sequel to "Love is Hell," and unlike "Love is Hell," this is substantially less bitter. Groening drew this after he met his "radiant" wife, and it definately shows. Less bitterness kind of spoils it a little, but there's still quite a few good laughs. Akbar and Jeff make a rather lengthy appearance here as well.

Guaranteed therapy after a failed relationship.,

This review is from: Binky's Guide to Love (Hardcover)
I bought this book, and was really impressed by Binky's guide to 'love'. It is extremely amusing and insightful. Full of witty bitterness. It has a dig at dating, love and the whole relationship thing. I thought it was great. Recommended reading when your feeling really cynical and self pitying. I constantly flip through the first half of the book that relates to Binkys adventures in the dating game, but i don't really find the second half of the book, Jeff and Ackbar, as humourous. I guess the gay humour isn't as relative.
