great introduction into the world of binocular astronomy,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Binocular Stargazer: A Beginner's Guide to Exploring the Sky (Paperback)
This is an excellent introduction into binocular astronomy. It takes you from the beginnings of finding the first few basic constellations to mastering the low magnification skydome. There is also much on the many different types of binocular astronomy, such as variable star observations

Great Beginner for Star Gazers,

This review is from: The Binocular Stargazer: A Beginner's Guide to Exploring the Sky (Paperback)
The Binocular Stargazer, a reprint of Peltier's Guideposts to the Stars, is an excellent primer for the novice.
I was fortunate to have known Leslie Peltier well. When I reread this volume, I felt that I was, once again, sitting with him in his living room discussing the cosmos. If you are a budding observer, this is a beautiful, caring, loving introduction to the wonderful world of astronomy. |
