I ordered a bidet BB-50 A 16612 at Amazon.com on Jan. 22/2010, it looks and works very good (it is the good). I ordered a second bidet BB-50 A16612 at Amazon.com on Mar.28/2010 but I received a different one, it is not BB-50 but BBC-50 shipped and sold by Good Earth Solution company; This one works very bad, water sprays weakly although I turn the pressure control to maximum position (it is the bad). I'll never and never buy this one again. Nikhil shah, a rep. of Good Earth Solution told me that the company has stopped making BB-50 and BBC-50 is a new one, and I can not return the BBC-50 because I opened it. ( How can I know it is BBC-50 if I don't open it?) I see BB-50 still advertised on Amazon.com, I don't see any BBC-50 on Amazon.com. My wife and I love the Bio Bidet! The installation was pretty easy however the instructions could have been a little clearer. Also one should position the spout for proper aim before screwing the bidet in. Using the bidet has been great and my wife and I are cleaner than we have ever been! Also we are using much less toilet paper and saving money. Overall we think this product is great!

Think about this... If you were running around barefoot and stepped into a pile of dog poop, would you be satisfied if someone handed you a wad of paper to clean it off?

Americans should catch up with the 17th Century and get into the bidet habit (Yes, I'm an American... Also an Ex-Marine, so there's nothing effeminate about them). Bio Bidet is the simplest and least expensive of the add-on types. Their quality is top shelf and we've never had a problem with ours. Don't worry about auto wash, air drying, vibrating seats, popcorn dispensers and all the other "luxury" features they're pushing now to get profits up (even heated water bidets hit you with cold water first, and by the time they warm up, you're finished). The simpler, the better.

We've been using a BB-50 for over 5 years and have decided to add another in our guest bathroom. (the reason is selfish... the guest bathroom is more accessible)... Why do I call it "entertaining" you ask? Well, because Americans, aren't as familiar with these devices as Europeans are, I'm betting more than one of my friends will be standing in front of it and think, "Hmm, what's this?" I should be able to hear the yelps from our living room when they turn it on.

Personally, I can't wait for it to arrive... My wife isn't so sure.

American made Bio Bidet gets kudos and 5 clean USMC stars from me.

Update: It arrived and I'm installing it this weekend. Next weekend I'll invite some friends over to watch football and drink beer. It should be fun.

I'm a mechanical Engineer. The manufacturers of Bio Bidet are one of the best companies I have dealt with both technically and ethically. I posted a negative review earlier regarding certain early mechanical failure that takes place between the valve stem and the valve ball after one year and 3 months of purchasing the unit. I got an instant response from the manufacturer stating that they are willing to replace the valve for free even that the unit is outside warranty. I received the valve in 5 days and they did change the material of the valve stem from plastic to brass. Two thumbs up for customer services. A role model in business ethics and engineering upgrades based on the voice of the customer.

I encountered the bidet (the bathroom fixture, not an add-on) on a trip to Madrid this summer. I had seen them before in Europe, and used them but could not picture what a $50 DIY version would do to improve hygiene. I was worried about the strictly cold-water option, but it's less than $100 and the reviews were good. I bought one and installed it - very simple with the very good quality adaptors and parts and clear instructions. I would not go back to the TP - only method if you paid me. I immediately bought two more for our other bathrooms. The only suggestion I can make is that they include a self-stick label with instructions for use for visitors unfamiliar with the device, since I know it is only a matter of time before a curious person cranks the knob to see what happens and gets a shower. At least it will give everyone a laugh.
This is a quality product and an extremely good bargain at the price. The cold-water only version is not a concern, and you get used to it quickly. Considering the length of time it takes for the water in the bathroom to warm up, the version that uses a mixture is not worth the complications necessary to hook it up.

Highly recommended.

Installation went pretty easy - no leaks. I had to position myself well forward to be "on target" and discovered that bidets soak most of one's exposed bottom from runoff. Also found that it's best to be 99% clean from paper before using it. The cold water is not a problem and is actually refreshing. Helps reduce irritation as well. Extra paper required to dry off.
