Dont like fleas and ticks? Live in the country? We use K-9 Advantix but we also drench the dogs/cats with this once in a while for that extra protection. Works fine. Dont know if the animals like it but I like that theres no fleas or ticks on them.

It appears to work for a few days, but with the odor being that strong, and considering my cats appear greasy, I am just going to put Advantage on them.

I have used this product for over two years at the animal shelter I work at without any negative symptoms in any of the cats except drooling in a few. The drooling is nothing to be worried about as it just a small reaction to the chemical and is to be expected with any flea product that is formulated into a spray or dip. The first time I used it, the fleas were hopping and dying too rapidly to count. You could see blood pooling from the dead fleas, onto the cover underneath the animal! You can either dilute this into a dip or a portable spray, depending on your specific situation. I dipped for the first year and on the second year I started diluting it 1:32 into a spray bottle for ease of use and portability due to the amount of cats we had. For a shelter or animal care facility, nothing can compare to this product in terms of effectiveness and cost.
